OMG!! i just got the weirdest thought in my head, right now... When Han returned to being a smuggler, he got together with a BLACK girl, & they had Finn!! ((FN-2187)) lmao... FINN is a SOLO!! ) ) )

 

So Finn is really fighting his brother...

 

Who really knows??
Nah... Finn is fighting his COUSIN... i don't believe that Ben ((aka: Kylo Renn)) Solo is really Leia's "son"... i think that Ben is Leia's nephew.

 

Why ?

 

i think Ben Solo ((aka: Kylo Renn)) is really Ben SKYWALKER... Luke Skywalker's son.
Rey is also a SKYWALKER, by birth... She is Luke's daughter... probably around 10 - 12 years younger than Ben.

During childbirth, both kid's ((Ben & Rey)) lost their birth mothers, to death. Of course, being the ADULT of the two ((Luke & Leia)), Leia adopts both children. BUT, by the time she adopt's Rey - - Ben is already on the dark side... Leia then drops Rey off, on Jakku!!

 

Then why is Ben "Ben a solo?"

 

Leia said to bring our son home to Han. Ben is not a Skywalker

 

Yeah I know...hats what I'm getting at .

Watching ESB a few days ago I heard the line "Afraid I was gonna leave without giving you a goodbye kiss?" and I thought that in TFA he in fact left without the goodbye kiss! I knooow, they're 30 years older and it's like seeing my parents kissing but it was sad anyway when I thought about it.

 

They probably thought there would be a small chance they'd see each other again .

I did not go over all the topic posts yet but I got the impression from the plot & dialogue that Han & Chewie "planted" the Falcon on Jakku as a way of keeping tabs on Rey. They shifted the big cargo ship to the system near Jakku to intercept the Falcon before Kylo Ren or The First Order got to it.
I think Han knew all along who Rey was & why she had to meet Luke. He also wanted one last chance to turn Ben back on his own terms. Not as a Sith or Jedi but as a son.

doesn't change the fact that he's a Skywalker. i wouldn't get too hung up on the name. we're assuming he took the name Solo to begin with. so many assumptions.

i wouldn't rule out the fact of them throwing out the Jedi attachment rule either, so there's plenty of room to believe that the clan will endure.

as to the OP: doesn't seem like there's any big secret. he wanted to reconcile.

 

I'm not sure about the Kenobi connection. You could be right. I think there were two voices of kenobi, one young and one old. I think the old one says "rey" so that's interesting that he is aware of her. He couldn't have known her in her lifetime but maybe he is reaching out to her as a force ghost. The young version says "these are the first steps". I can't help but think that was young kenobi teaching Anakin when he was his Padawan. Like when mediums can apparently touch objects and receive information about the people whom the object belonged to. I think when Rey touched the lightsaber as well as visions of her own past and future she also got echoes of who owned the lightsaber previously. I could be wrong and it does seem more like visions and sounds of her own past but we shall see...

I admit it sounds better than the Kenobi connection but it won't exactly be a big surprise. It's not exactly as surprising as the revelation that Vader was Luke's father. The surprise out of that might be who the mother is!? We've had the revelation that Han is Kylo ren's father. It's starting to get a bit tedious all of this big reveal of who characters parents are.

The last line of my previous comment was meant to express a nerdgasm (Luke saying the same line as Darth Vader did) not a surprise, it was also edited by a mod (i guess you can't write B0ner here). It is a very possible and maybe one of the obvious Rey's parentage options but nonetheless her Skywalker reveal will be the biggest of all other possible reveals.
