SPOILER Has the movie plot basically been spoiled for me?

Lol none of us know but it seems big. I imagine much of the ancillary information that has come out is false or is not the complete truth so I guess to answer your question I would say there's most likely more to this movie.

There are a lot of new rumors floating around that are being heavily debated. Right now it is tough to discern what might be real and what is not. Even if some of the rumors are true there are not a lot of details about them. I would say the plot is not ruined.

 

Well JJ says that some rumors are true so if the director says so, it is so.

 

I would say not...much is rumors and we do not know actually a lot,as being confirmed.

Pay no attention to the angry guy sitting behind his computer screen in California.
Even if that rumor is right, let's face it, everyone and their grandmother speculated it anyway. Very little has been confirmed or made official about this film. Basically what you and I know that is truly 110% facts is what we saw in the teaser trailer, the JJ charity promos and the drone photos. That's it no matter what anyone tells you.
Go watch the movie and hopefully it's good

 

People go to plays that are hundreds of years old and enjoy them. Lots of movies are based on books where the story is known. So the issue even if things are known is execution of the story more than knowing it or not. So it still wouldn't be ruined.

Confirmed we have a teaser trailer.

I would say we also have the info from the trading cards but many doubt that as disinfo. But still that info is out there.

Beyond that we have bits and pieces to string together some of it contradictory (or seemingly contradictory because of the facts we don't know). I hope that this does not offend those hear who bring us news from this or other sites but I still take a lot of things with a grain of salt. But even if the popular and trending rumors are true. The bulk of the story will be how these various things play out so it still wouldn't be spoiled.

 

Agree 100%. At this point, virtually nothing is known....I suspect that we'll know quite a bit by July/August....once the toys, books, and such start to hit stores.
JJ's created quite the mystery box, and right now every little piece seems like X-mas...who knew I'd get so excited by an interview with helicopter pilots!?

I kind of expected them to kill at least 1 or more of the OT cast. We have to take into account that some OT cast may not want to be a part of the ST and they have to write them out of the script some how.

only joking mate lol, i agree with you.. i don't think much of what we've heard lately is true.

we don't know for sure that Han solo dies
we don't know for sure who is playing Kylo Ren... let alone if he (or she) is a bad guy (or girl) and murders anybody.

i wouldn't worry too much about reading these spoilers until someone comes up with something more factual... it's still all just speculation for the most part, although that is a ridiculously thoughtless article title.

With as much flying around as there has been, I won't take anything to be accurate until I see it in the film. But even were this true, not sure it should spoil too much... the Han Solo death has been speculated (without any facts presented) by plenty of people for a while now.

I'd just stay away from the TFA Forum on this website. The home page articles are good about not revealing too much. Other sites I can't speak about. In any case though, surely a possibility of Han eating it shouldn't mean the entire movie has been spoiled. There will be a lot happening to fill up all that time and story space.

 

I don't go to star wars for the plot, I go for the world building. I'd read the script today if offered the choice.
