There was no tension in captain marvel because captain marvel should be able to stomp everyone there with no problem. Additionally, I also didn’t like Brie Larson in the part.

The theatrical is bad. Not truly awful but bad.

The extended version is actually decent.

Not good but decent and watchable.

The bad is still there but there is better connective tissue and in some places sands down some of the rougher edges.

Once... on Lighthouse (1999) I went to go see it with my (then) girlfriend. It was supposed to be a horror movie and we were both hoping for some legitimate reasons for her to grab onto me for support and protection... However, when halfway through the movie, the most 'scary' was when the 'victim' was hiding in the bathroom at the very top of the lighthouse [...] and the killer came onto the actual floor (a circle of approx. 25 ft wide), but back down the stairs, without checking the stalls... then an aerosolcan of airfreshener falls to the tile floor (without the killer hearing this [...]) and the camera in a closeup shot follows the rattling can (still the killer not hearing anything...) towards the stairwell, stopping an inch from the edge...
We just looked at each other with the same flabbergasted expression, when I asked her if she wanted to bounce.

Yup! Went to a movie once, with a friend and there were a couple of youngmen in the back who were obnoxious af.
There were maybe 10 people there and they were also annoyed by their behaviour. So I wasn't too bothered when approaching them during the break to persuade them to stfu and keep their sh!t to themselves, or suffer the consequences... being nearly 7 foot tall... well, suffice to say we didn't hear much from them afterward. :D

Some people... That's when it comes in handy to be a tall guy. I'll just stand up , look 'em straight in the eye and ask if they're really sure they want my seat... :D

Lowkey movies like that I never watch in theaters, but rather at home on DVD. I actually really enjoyed Lincoln!
DDL still the GOAT among actors imho.

Yup, self-righteous idiots can be encountered everywhere.

Yea, those are the worst! I understand your decision, but no way I'll let someone chase me out of my seat! (luckily, where I live there is no such thing as assigned seating. The early bird...

It's ashame that when it's implemented, it still doesn't work.

What was that saying again? "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with? (And she was kinda cute... :p;))

I walked out of The Thin Red Line. Long list of A-list stars that appeared in the commercials but are in the movie for 15 seconds. Then there would be a battle going on but it would cut to Jim Caviezel reciting poetry in the jungle or something. At least that's the way I remember it. :)

I think I walked out of Excess Baggage starring Alicia Silverstone but I'm not sure on that one.

The Dark Tower. That was a mockery of what it could have been.
On another note, if you want some good laughs, have a few drinks and watch Jurassic Galaxy. It's so bad the fam and I could not stop laughing and we watched all 1:15 hrs of it.

Yeah that was bad but luckily I didn't go to the theater for that one. Hardly anybody I know has heard of those books, none read them, and they were just not at all interested in going. I was kind of irritated until the first reviews started coming in. I finally watched it later and am so glad I didn't have to apologize to a friend or loved one for dragging them to that dumpster fire.

I've left a few movies early because I had to go for one reason or another but when it comes to walking out because it was just too bad I can only remember 2 though it seems like there should be another I'm forgetting. One of them was Die Another Day, which stings because I'm a huge Bond fan and I've read all the Fleming novels and quite a few of the continuations. I can usually find something I enjoy any Bond movie no matter how bad but that is the only disc in my box set I've never put in. Just having seen it on cable a few times after walking out of in the theater that time is enough for me. It's a shame too because it's starts off somewhat promising but goes downhill pretty quick.

The other was Van Helsing. I saw it with my brother and maybe if we'd been a little more prepared for what type of movie it was we may have not hated it so much. I don't know what we were expecting but it wasn't that. Maybe it's just us because I know there are people who actually like that movie but we thought it was insanely dumb. I tried explaining the plot to a friend the next day and he thought I was pulling his leg. He said there's no way that's an actual movie.

I WANTED to walk out of 10 Things I Hate About You but the group I went with (and I didn't drive) mostly liked it. Or didn't dislike it enough to walk out. We were all like 18/19, so I guess we were in the right age group but it was too corny for me. I didn't completely sit through it though, I'd go out into the arcade and play games then come back in a bit, then go back out for more games.

I’ve only walked out of one movie: Michael Bay’s ‘Pearl Harbor’.

The moment it’s revealed (sorry for the spoiler:rolleyes:) that the Ben Affleck character was alive and this already ridiculous melodrama was about to become an awkward love triangle between these remarkably uninteresting leads - I stood up, said out loud “nope, I’m out”, and left.

I’ve never seen the ending, but I have an inkling it doesn't go well for those folks at Pearl Harbor.

Haha, the only time I can think of was Into the Woods.

Not because of the film's quality (it was fine, I guess).

No, I had just gotten a refill on a massive soda and was going to hand it to my wife (then fiancé).

Somehow the handoff didn't connect and all 52 ounces ended up on the floor.

We were the only people in the theater that day. It was obvious it was us.

We just looked at each other and booked it out of there. :p

I feel bad for Michael Bay over this one. It's not really all his fault.
The producers (Touchstone aka Disney's adult brand) decided into production they wanted to capitalize on a recent increase in teen drama money and basically forced this to the forefront while Bay wanted to do something dirty and gory in the R rated world, closer to the 2016 release of his, 13 Hours.
So instead a bombastic director known for his action and violence, is forced into doing a sappy love story over top of the Pearl Harbor attack and well, it went exactly as you'd expect it too.

I suppose in a bit of irony, Mel Gibson would make essentially the same kind of movie the same year Bay would finally make his rated R war movie. Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge basically opens as a cheesy love story you'd almost expect to see on the Lifetime network. Then transitions into a gruesome war movie complete with insane levels of violence you'd expect in a Mel Gibson flick. Doesn't work for everyone but he got a bunch of nominations out of it. Personally, I loved it.

Ha! 'This never happened. We were never here. Now . . . RUN!'
I certainly can’t speak to the genesis of that movie, but I don’t expect it was much more complicated than the studio saying “Hey, that ‘Titanic’ picture made a lot of money. Let’s do that!” Bay did get to make all his actors inexplicably orange and shiny though. He had to be happy about that at least.

It was the Expandables 3. Not that the movie was particularly bad (well, it was, I didn't expect anything else to begin with), but I was so sleepy after something that I decided to go home. I did came to theatre the next day to finish it though.
