Hayden Christensen Says Playing Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi Felt 'Very Natural and Meaningful' to Him

    It is well known by now that the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus series is bringing back Hayden Christensen to play Darth Vader. While Vader may not have been very present in the teaser trailer released, he very much is in the series and will be an important part of its' marketing.



    Entertainment Weekly, which is releasing its last printed issue, has just released more bits from their interview with Hayden Christensen. The magazine also had chats with McGregor, Moses Ingram, series writer Joby Harold, series director Deborah Chow, and Kathleen Kennedy, which you can check out here.



    When asked what it felt like putting the suit back on, Christensen said:



    He went on to describe how his role in Obi-Wan Kenobi is a natural continuation of his journey from Revenge of the Sith:



    He was then asked about coming back to the role, and the Star Wars franchise as a whole, after 17 years. Christensen said:



    He concluded:



    We will certainly be hearing more from Hayden Christensen as the marketing starts ramping up. Wouldn't it be a treat if both he and Ewan did the press rounds together? Fans can dream. We are now less than two months away from the release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which is coming to Disney Plus on May 25th.
