Holdo, the Bombers and A-Wings (Spoiler for Marvel Poe Dameron #20)

    In Poe Dameron 20, it is mentioned that the resistance only has a dozen pilots. Given that this series is getting pretty close to the beginning of TFA, I think it's safe to say that numbers weren't much higher by then.

    Now Holdo has repeatedly been referred to in media as resistance - but I think this more or less confirms my suspicion that Admiral Holdo, the bombers and A Wings (and possibly a few capital ships) are what is left of the New Republic fleet. It has been hinted that there may be tension between old friends Leia and Holdo, and I'm guessing it's over who is in charge of the resistance, those small in number who fought the first order from the start, or the New Republic remnant.

    Also I'm guessing that the NR remnant comes to the rescue of the resistance during the evacuation of D'Qar.

    I'd like 2 know why most of the vehicles don't have proper alphanumeric names like T-65B or RZ-1?

    Just nicknames like bomber, spider walker or Resistance A-wing.

    I mean a proper resistance A-wing name would be RZ-2 since it's a newer model. A proper name 4 the Spider walker could be AT-FS or All Terrain Fast Scout.

    This would make sense. With the New Republic basically being wiped out, I would think that any remnants of it would join with the Resistance. If this happens at the very beginning of the movie, technically Holdo would then be part of the Resistance for most of the movie. This could be why she has been titled as part of the Resistance in the media even though she might be New Republic initially.

    Isn't Holdo on Canto Blight at some stage? I have doubts that such a fine actress would be given a one dimensional role in being simply an admiral and friend of Leia - I wonder if she will be a shady character that does a deal with the FO and betrays her old pal.

    If she is on Canto Blight, a place for "a££holes" as RJ put it, I do wonder what she is up to.

    Thoughts? Am I basing this on false information?

    I haven’t heard or seen anything about her on Canto Bight. Not sure where you might have picked up that info. She does have a rather large part in the novel Leia Princess of Alderaan. The way she is portrayed in the book she does not seem like the type who would be on Canto Bight unless she has changed over the years
