The thing I like most about all the characters in Star Wars is that their sexuality doesn't define their character, which is a pitfall in many other areas of entertainment.

Sinjir has many facets to his character, and he happens to be gay.

Han has many facets to his character, and he happens to be straight.

What I mean is, their sexuality isn't the first thing you think of when you consider them - which is the way I think it should be, just like in real life. You can compare this to other characters in other works of fiction and, more often than not, their characters are defined by what their sexuality is and usually in a derogatory way if they happen to be not straight.
