    Even if Snoke is not Darth Plagueis or a minion of Palpatine in some way, I hope he has ties to Vader in some way. Star Wars "Saga" is supposed to be about Darth Vader or Anakin, however you want to look at it. Right?

    Darth Plagueis was low hanging fruit and it will be a shame if this is just the next Villain to pop out of Metropolis to combat Batman and Robin, rather than a Dark Sider tied to the original movies and Story, that's what the spin offs are for. Right?

    We are close. As much as Disney may hate it, if they contrive Snoke, it will be weak and laughed at.

    Good Luck Rian. I do not think JJ did so good in the Shadow of Lucas, I hope you do better.

    He is the one presumably turned Vader's grandson to the darkside. That is a powerful connection. He doesn't need to be Vader's clone or Darth Plaugeis the connection is already there. Like the ST and PT Anakin's shadow covers everything.

    I agree withh @Pastor Barndog . Vader's fingerprints are all over the saga movies. Even if he isn't physically in the the ST, his legacy is. HIs actions reach into the ST with a son trying not the make the same mistake for the sake of the galaxy and a delusioned grandson trying to emulate what he thought he grandfather was.

    How Snoke will fit into the picture is yet to be seen. Even if he isn't fully explained, there will be the EU to flush him out. DP had a very small footprint in the PT but blossomed in an EU novel. Snoke could a probably will fit nicely into the sage. We just have to fairly let it play out then look back to see how it really was.

    Considering Snoke's officialy recognized powers, which includes telepathy, it is almost unimaginable that Snoke, who is ancient, and who, said by himself , has observed happenings during the Empire, has not once found or at least followed footsteps of young Anakin Skwalker...Anakin was something way to special .
