    does anyone collect Hot Toys? i just ordered Kylo Ren and the Stormtrooper double set with the officer. i totally can't afford these but oh well.

    i don't need to eat for the next three months, right?

    i was a total Hot Toys junkie for the Dark Knight series and tried really hard not to wander out of that fandom, but my brother ordered Kylo Ren and he's done nothing but torture me with pictures of him, so, big tax return pending, i finally snapped.

    thank God for payment plans.

    i would love to get Rey/BB-8, Finn and Phasma too, but i can think about that later. they're not due out until late spring. but if you know Hot Toys, once these releases are gone, the prices get stupid (more stupid?), so had to reserve these now.

    share your love: i need to know i'm not the only totally irresponsible person on the planet ~ hahaha

    I have quite a collection myself...I got a lot of the episode III clone troopers, I got a Boba Fett and Yoda, various marvel figures like Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Tony Stark, Guardians of the Galaxy. I have one piece of Jabba the Hutt with slave princess Leia behind him with the chain around his neck.

    I want to get more like the classic characters from the OT. but I do want to get Kylo Ren, Rey with BB8...Finn vs the stormtrooper, I am hoping Hot Toys makes a Poe figure. please please.

    I'm very close to ordering a Kylo Ren and at a local comic shop there's the sweet Han and Chewie from Hot Toy's as well which I'm also considering.

    Also to share my irresponsibility, I'm 18 and working to save up for college but seriously ready to a blow a load one month for some merch. lol.(r2-d2)

    Hey, there is nothing wrong with blowing a load of cash one month for what you love to collect. Its something my parents will never understand. At least these are collectibles that I can appreciate for as long as I live. Once a collector always a collector. lols. There is no going back. I work too, its decent money but having worked for over twelve years at the same company, I want to try other options that could possibly make me happy.

    but but but...payment plans! it's like $15 a week for the stormtroopers and $19 a week for Kylo Ren.

    actually i'll probably just pay for Kylo Ren with part of my tax refund when it arrives.

    Hmmmm $19 is my daily travel grant at university. I can pay my own train ticket...I guess, for a few months. I'm just wondering, I preordered the Jakku heavy trooper. But are they fully articulated? I just couldn't make that out of the description. I reckon you can put them in different poses.....

    Hot Toys are the Ferrari of figures. they are absurdly articulate and stupidly awesome. the pictures don't even begin to do them justice.

    i should also clarify that the payment plans are monthly, not weekly. i just broke it down that way for the sake of my own personal budget.

    Does anyone know if Hot Toys will make a different version of Kylo with Adam Driver's face/head aside of the mask/helmet sculpt?

    that's been the big question in the HT community. i hedged a long time before buying this one for that reason, but time has run out (it's shipping so you gotta get on the train or it leaves the station without you).

    i think there's a very strong chance they will issue a new release of Kylo Ren for viii and it will probably have all the requested extras (like the unmasked portrait and Darth Vader's melted helmet).

    knowing Hot Toys, it is doubtful that it will happen before then (production on these things is pretty intense).

    I've paid the full load anyway on my first figure, but I'm considering the monthly payment option for my next one. It does make it more manageable.

    yeah, in the past i always paid in full because i had the cash and it was easier to just take the hit in one fell swoop.

    right now not so much, so this is my first time doing payments on Hot Toys.

    they are rather exquisite, aren't they? expensive as they are, there's a reason collectors covet them.

    i bought a bunch of black series figs just for funsies (and to try to prevent myself from going down this Dark path), but once you have Hot Toys, nothing else will do.

    I used to be into the fully articulated 3.75 inch figures. Untill Hasbro came up with these inferior bits of plastic:
