    SPOLER ALERT FOR THE MANDALORIAN!!!

Boba Fett. Wonderful character with an intriguing look. He has always brought a “cool” feel to Star Wars. He is also one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. However, his fate was a little upsetting. He was “killed” by a semi-blind man who accidentally stabbed his jetpeck causing Fett to crash into Jaba’s Sail Barge and land on the pitt that we all know and love. Im not here to talk about his death because well, we know he didn’t die in the pitt. In the Mandolorian, which takes place after the OT, Boba is seen alive and well. The Sarlac Pitt offers a long and painful death if swallowed. Boba should of been slowly digested as his jetpack was destroyed by Han. This brings up the question, how did he survive and what did he do to escape? How did he escape?

I genuinely can’t think of a way how he survived. I mean, his jetpeck was destroyed, or at least broken beyond repair. Unless, it wasn’t. Maybe Boba Fett was able to use whatever tools he had on him or whatever was in his environment, which was the stomach of the Sarlac Pitt. Thats my best guess. He fixed his jetpack which allowed him to escape. Another guess would be if he were saved by Jawas somehow, but that seems unlikely because how would this happen?

Also, im not taking comics into consideration here but if yall want to, then go ahead. :)

Thats a good point. That’s probably how he survived. How’d he get out, ya know? Like, was their help or dod he do it himself?

Yeah, but I think the Mandolorian, while including Boba Fett, doesn’t specifically zoom in on Boba. I love what we get with the mandolorians and what we’ve learned about them, but I would love some more info on boba after ROTJ. Like we got some flashbacks and information, but maybe something can focus on him. Its maybe too much to ask for but whatever.

Boba Fett really is the armor, when you get down to why he became a popular character in the first place. I think he was supposed to be more of the "muscle" character in Revenge of the Jedi, in the original scripting and we were supposed to see him and Luke fight more. Otherwise, his character didn't expand outside his being some dude wearing cool armor in the background.

The Mandalorian is built on that idea. The armor looks cool, so let's make a show about a character who wears it. The character is essentially the armor and I don't think it'd be easy to separate the two anymore than you can separate who Darth Vader from his armor.

Originally, Boba Fett was popular because he was the only character in Star Wars, other than Darth Vader (and Tarkin, I guess) who was a threat to the main characters. Despite hardly being in the films, he was a danger stalking in the background, someone who brought actual tension and drama to the heroes' arcs. To say he was popular because of his armor is like saying Vader was popular because of his; both where characters and they played a much larger roles in the story than just standing around looking cool. If the armor argument was true, then TIE figherer pilots Snowtroopers etc. would be just as big characters as Boba Fett and Darth Vader was.

Boba Fett was NOT popular because he looked cool; he was popular because he WAS cool, and because he added threat to the drama (something Snowtroopers & TIE pilots hardly did, as an example)

I see your point, I really do. But I think The Mandalorian and Boba Fett really are different people depite both being mandos. I just think Boba Fett is a character who we can see more of because he is unique. Your point is fair and valid still.

I couldn’t agree more. I mean literally. I do believe that people liked him because he was cool and acted cool. For example, in ROTJ, when Lei in here disquise turns in the bounty of Chewbaca, or so Jaba thought, Boba didnthat nod which was sick and we can all agree upon that.

Most of what made the characters popular was how well the toys sold and toys sold because they looked cool to kids.

I think you're looking at this from a hindsight perspective but you have to keep in mind that much of what the characters are today never existed during their conceptions back in the early 1980s. Originally, Boba Fett was conceived as being a type of stormtrooper himself, an elite stormtrooper who fought during the Clone Wars and whose kind were supposed to have been wiped out by the Jedi. You can see some of these conceptions reworked throughout the history of Star Wars in such media as Knights of the Old Republic with the Mandalorian Wars.

But Boba Fett eventually became a kind of "breakout" character in the same manner that Darth Maul did. They were both characters that "looked cool" and so received a lot of attention for that. It's not inherently good or bad that this happened, it's just the way things turned out. The Star Wars lore is largely built on top of what the fans love. That's why Boba Fett was tied so centrally tied to the main story right now, despite the fact that he was never originally illustrated that way. He went from elite bounty hunter in TESB to being related to the guy who was the template for the entire clone army in the Prequel films.

Imagine if they had done this with say, Malakili, the Rancor handler. :p

I like your connection to Maul and Boba, but the whole toy thing isn’t what brought them fame and support. It was how they acted, fought, or how they just were unique.

In essence, this is what made them popular toys as well. Maul was cool because he was acrobatic and he had a double-bladed lightsaber too. We hadn't seen that before. No character development, but as a young child watching it back in the day I didn't much care for that. I just thought the double-bladed lightsaber was pretty cool!

Fett doesn't really "fight" much at all in the OT except for about 1 minute in RotJ where he is promtly thrown into the Sarlacc pit because Han accidentally nicks his jetpack with a spear.

Still, I owned a Fett action figure when I was younger. I like all the little gadgets and accessories it came with. Kind of like Batman toys.

    I like indian food.
Well some of it, of course there is a lot of different indian food, and I know for sure that I don't like all of it.
I don't like all german food as well. Did you ever eat black salsify?
    Well I'm getting off topic.
The question is if he got out with or even because of his armour? How did the jawas get hands on it?
