    I can't see them having her kill Luke by merely being tempted by the Dark Side, however the other option is an intriguing possibility

    Self-sacrifice to save Rey from Kylo. Then Rey beats Kylo, he gets dragged to prison (if he survives) or to the Light (right before he dies) by Leia while Rey goes off to kill Snoke, full of righteous anger for Luke.

    Alternative, Luke dying quietly in front of the Force tree at his new temple, certain that the Jedi are in good hands with Rey around after all is said and done in IX and peace is back. Rey and his new students find him just sitting there, smiling in death.

    How you don't kill Luke Skywalker? You don't overpower him. He can't lose. But he can die.

    Lighsabre poison as been the usual Death Cause amoung the Jedi in the Star Wars Movies, the question might be who's the one to strike Him: Kylo or Rey (my vote goes for Rey)
