How excited are you Episode 9? Poll

I will see it in the theaters, but I'm quite mixed about EPIX mainly because the ending of TLJ.
I mean ESB had one hell of a cliffhanger where TLJ just kinda ends the story in a way.
I really enjoyed TFA and all that movie set up, but it feels like Rian Johnson just took everything from that movie and smashed it.
So, because of that, it feels like we're in a reset mode, rather than in the end game with EPIX.

 

excited about it, and i'd book the cinema tickets for opening night now if i could.

a new Star Wars movie = a very excited Maximus.

 

My thoughts exactly. I really feel like I have nothing to look forward to. Another battle between Rey and Kylo doesn't sound all that exciting and that's all we have left really. But trailers and marketing could change my mind. Gonna see it regardless but after TLJ my anticipation is like a 3 out of 10. I guess that will make the wait for the last film easier though.

 

As of right now no excitement at all. They definitely have the potential to win me over with trailers and story details but right now all I have in mind for this trilogy is two very okay precursor movies. The other movies did not leave any sort of feeling that this will be an epic Return of the King like resolution so it is possible as I stated above to win me over but they will have to put out higher quality work then has been shown in this era of Star Wars media.

 

I will probably see it just because it is star wars. I certainly won't be getting up any hopes. I won't be paying any attention to reviews like I did last time(Which is something I never do usually)

 

At this moment, I'm not excited at all. It's too far away right now. Whether I see it in the theatre depends on a lot of things. I won't purchase advanced tickets and will definitely look at all the leaked spoilers that I can before buying tickets. Hopefully, the leaks that I read will get me excited for it.

 

I have great interest for ep.IX but the poll answer which I chosed (first one) can not represent why I am gona be first in line to see it.

If Rey is confirmed nobody I will be devastated, not sure about Star Wars but for me definitely.It will be like I am gona face destiny and a stone called TLJ that is already tied to my legs will be untied, or stay tied to pull me down to abyss.

 

I'll definitely be there opening night, but it's still a little too far out for me to get very excited. We'll get casting news and some leaks during filming later this year. By the turn of the year I'l start getting pretty excited.

 

Same here. I'll be their opening night if I can and no schedule conflicts. Shouldn't be a problem this year. The excited will build the closer it gets and the more info that is leaked out.

 

I voted "Other" as I'll go and see it opening night because it's Star Wars but I can't say I'm excited about it. I do however have far more confidence in Episode 9 now that JJ Abrams is back and that Rian Johnson has nothing to do with this film. Although JJ has his work cut out for him!

I've gone from craving more Sequel Trilogy after seeing TFA to feeling numb and not being bothered about Ep9 after watching TLJ.

I was far more exited for SOLO, a film I didn't initially want. SOLO is great fun and for me a far better film than TLJ.

I'm between excited and meh/but I'll still see it. This will be the 1st SW movie that I am actively going to looking for spoilers because I want to see where they taking this movie, so I don't have this jarring experience like I did with TLJ. I kind of want to know right off the bat if JJ is going to re-subvert what RJ subverted in TLJ, meaning is he going to re-explore Rey's lineage and will Snoke come back to life? For the record, I don't want either to happen as I believe that JJ should just continue RJ's TLJ narrative for Episode 9. If JJ ends up going back to correct the mystery boxes from TFA, then I will be meh on Episode 9. If JJ decides to keep the narrative and go full fledge with a new story for Episode 9, then I will be excited.

I still have not seen Solo, as Episode 9 will probably be the last SW movie I remotely care about as I'm just not excited for a Kenobi, Boba Fett, or even a RJ Trilogy.

 

No matter what my excitement level may be I will be there at opening night. I am excited for the film though.

 

A good teaser should be enough to start a hype. Something with mysteries, new (and mysterious) characters with cool outfits, cleverly abrupted dialogues, hinting at some mysteries and a glimpse of huge battle between fleets, with some new (and maybe mysterious) ships at either side. Althought it will be a while until they film enough substantial stuff for something like that.

 

I'm extremely excited to find out what happens!

It's a little tough to get all that pumped up when we don't have much news or a trailer or anything, but I'm sure you'll hear the hype train pulling into the station sometime early next year (particularly when rumors of a title start swirling around- heck, maybe we'll even get some nibbles on that this fall). In the meantime, this long wait...

 

I've took 6 months off from posting, I guess that shows my enthusiasm for SW has never been so low.

Not seen Solo yet (probably will do at some point mind). Episode 9 I do not care for really, I've found TFA 'ok - has it's moments' and TLJ a 'travesty' so for me...the Saga finished at ROTJ. IMO the sequel triology is totally pointless, it's done nothing... I would rather invest my time in other sci fi and sci fantasy that push boundaries - been so many recently. (I do however Love RO as previously posted on).

P.S. My opinion, stop the anger/hate tantrums, it's fine to boycott or love a movie. <3

I want to be excited I really do. My heart is saying one thing, my head another. I don't want to kiss the shuttle so to say I hope JJ can turn it around for me. Maybe when filming starts I will be brought back around. I hope so!
