This is a thought that came to me a couple days ago, so enjoy!

What if Ezra takes the Barash Vow? Between Kanan's seemingly inevitable death, Saw's injuries (which I'm inclined to believe Ezra will be involved in), and the knowledge that Kenobi will usher in "a New Hope," Ezra might feel like he's done enough bad (or good if Lothal is free), and retire from being an active Jedi.

Like Ahsoka's fate, it'd allow Ezra to escape the canon fate everyone assumes must happen, by using a previously mentioned canon reason.

While the Barash Vow might not have been mentioned in Rebels, it's not to late to mention it. They've also explored the idea of neutrality with The Bendu, so the groundwork's already there. Or, if the Barash Vow is the reason Luke has stayed on Ahch-To, then it could be the "Seasonal Star Wars Movies Reference."*

Anyways, let me know what you think! Thanks!

Not a bad idea. I don't see the show killing Ezra off, but Kanan is really the only one that "has" to die, because he's actually a Jedi Knight. It would be poetic, Ezra putting away the lightsaber and helping the galaxy in his own way, like Kanan did before him. Maybe, that means Ezra could pop up in the next animated TV show, which we're all guessing is post-ROTJ.

I too expect that Kanan will die like a Jedi...on his feet, but I have a hard time seeing them kill off Ezra. I can see Ezra taking Ahsoka's path, maybe after Kanan's death as he's tired of the suffering and death and walks away...into the sunset.

Something even more epic than having Hera addressed on R1 would be to actually SEE one of the animated characters (other than chopper in R1) step out of the shadows on the big screen...like Ezra...because he's Luke's age. :)

My opinion regarding Ezra and the Rebel S4 is that I can see them go the route like the "twin suns" episodes. in the sense of if you only knew Rebels then you wanted to know why OB1 was there and who is he watching. We know who he is and that its Luke and all. also, like R1 when Mon was telling Senator Organa about his jedi friends and he goes to Alderaan. we kno on ANH they blow it up.

I would like to see Ezra somehow towards the end of S4 that he goes with Senator Organa to Alderaan cause he knows about Obi Wan and wants to get his help since Kanan will sacrifice himself. I can see the characters go their own ways. Its just hard to see Ezra still alive with no ending. unless they make a book but hes too much of a factor in SW just like Ahsoka.

And im waiting on Ahsoka story arc....

I think he joins Saw Garrara's group. He was always a grey area character, but he had a hatred for the Empire. I doubt they'll kill him off. Joining the Rebellion is too obvious, and well we never hear from him again. So yeah, that's what I think.

There has to be closure with kanan, Ezra and Ahsoka regarding the Rebels saga and how they play into the whole SW arc. Sabine back to mandalore, Zeb follow the rebellion or go back home. Kanan is a Jedi so he has to have an ending due to him not being in the OT. Ezra can have his own adventure but he doesnt have a great case on being alone since he doesnt want to be alone. I can see him go in the route of Senator Organa and leave it open(but we know where it leads to) I cant see him last through the ST and rumored to be Del Toro. so Ezra story is a good and safe story. it all ends where he began. in Lothal. could he stay in Lothal. possiblity of it for me 60%

I'm calling it right now. Kanan is going to die, and Ezra is going to stay with Sabine on Mandalore. The big attack on the TIE factory on Lothal will be successful, but will be a defeat in the end, as Lothal will be ruined. We see what looks like Lothal on fire from orbit in the trailer. Ezra will be left without a home and he'll choose to stay with Sabine and basically become a Mandalorian. We here him talking about second guessing whether or not he's on the right path in the trailer as well, which leads me to believe he will set aside his Force powers or at very least walk away from the Jedi Order way of life. His comment "I don't want to be a Mandalorian" seems to be some pretty heavy foreshadowing and I think by the end of the show he's gonna eat those words. The series will end with Ezra living with Sabine and no longer thinking of himself as a Jedi and he'll walk away from the greater Rebellion too, choosing to help rebuild Mandalore with Sabine, possibly with Bo Katan dead and Sabine reinheriting the Darksaber and leading Mandalore. This gets both of them out of the way for the OT and is a good reason for why Yoda doesn't tell Luke about him as a Jedi in RotJ.

I think Ezra, and maybe Kanan, will sense something dark in the unexplored region and will head out to face it. Maybe we get an early glimpse of Snoke.

This is an excellent and original idea. This would be one way I would like to see Ezra survive.

I’m thinking that Ahsoka would be the one to do that, but maybe all three could work... Or Maybe Janan dies, Ahsoka trains Ezra then they meet Snoke, idk.

Good idea. Maybe they will even get married in the process. Live a happy life after the war.

Kanan, as everyone expects, dies. Ezra, distraught, runs into the death stick guy whose name is so stupid I refuse to type it. He gets hooked, pawns his light saber and his slingshot to feed his habit. Returns to being a street urchin and lives miserably as an addict that poses no threat to the Empire

its possible he can live cause as of now hes not a Jedi. I dont see him possibly being alive as far as the OT goes. its to big of a hole to fill so close. its not like Maz cause shes just some side character that doesnt play a major role. I can see Ezra going with Senator Organa to Alderan to help him with OB1. since Ezra has seen and know OB1 is alive, during the R1 saga Ezra can have a single side mission to tattooine and meet OB1? maybe that can be apart of the OB1 film? Kanan is gone so he seeks OB1 for guidance and tell him that there is a powerful weapon the empire has. IDK just my opinion. i really dont see him into the ST. too much to fill in for his story but his Rebel story is where it stays...

Man I hope so. I'm a huge sucker for Sabine/Ezra. This being Star Wars, of course it's not really going to be happily ever after. Someone is going to die tragically. But give em a few years at least. Maybe enough time to have a kid...a daughter perhaps, before they both die off....

I think either Kanan and Ezra (Ezra being the more probable one) could end up being the Sitter mentioned in Rey's Survival Guide....the Sitter is an old holy man who meditated on a pillar on Jakku from sunrise to sunset, and was fed by the local Teedos. People saw him as some sort of prophet and visited his pillar. This reminds me a bit of Ben Kenobi's life on Tatooine after order 66.

It would be interesting if either Kanan or Ezra took the Barash Vow or decided to take a stand similar to the Bendu and no longer participate in politics and rebellion after being disillusioned by the events upto RO.

Here we go. Kanan marries Hera and he gives up the Jedi and she gives up the Rebellion. The general Syndulla in R1 is her father. Ezra goes off with Sabine and becomes a force sensitive Mando. Bo-Katan signs a peace treaty with the Empire so the Mandos can be left alone and Zeb goes back to his world.

Lothal has to fail, because the OT and RO both clearly indicate that the first victory over the empire is RO. Therefore what happens in Lothal is ultimately a failure. It most likely leads to Hera's promotion, probably from saving much of the squad. Personally I think Ezra, Kanaan, and possibly Sabine die.

Interesting, Im pretty sure Ezra will survive the events of season 4, hopefully he will turn up in later books or movies (Don't think he is DJ from TLJ even tho some people do)
