SPECULATION How many times will you watch TFA in theather?

At least 5 times.

 

I have a weeks worth of vacation time saved for TFA. I could easily see it 4 or more times within that week.

 

Twice for me. Opening night and again 2nd night to take it all in and think/absorb it.

 

I watched TPM eight times in theaters before I gave up. AOTC twice and ROTS twice too. If TFA is good I'll probably see it at least three times.

Im not someome who cares for watching movies more than once at the cinema. Star Wars is an exception.

2 or 3 times for me

 

Over the last decade I've been averaging about four trips to the theater a year. So I don't go to a lot of movies. But I will still go see TFA twice, even if it's a disappointment - opening night and at the IMAX theater when I can get tickets. If it's as good as I hope it is, I can see myself going three times in the first two weeks, and then once every two or three weeks until it gets released on Blu-Ray. On the surface it's insane, but I've been waiting so long for a good new Star Wars movie that I know it will be difficult to get out of my system if TFA really delivers.

 

Star Wars and Bond movies are the only ones I usually see more than once. I guess I'll watch it at least 3 times, so if I don't like it the first time, by the last time I watch it, it's the greatest movie ever

 

My opening weekend planned out:

See it at the 9 or 10 showing on Dec. 17th with my friends.

See it the next morning/afternoon on the 18th with my younger siblings.

See it that Saturday or Sunday with my girlfriend when she gets back from college.

Then I'll see it again once or twice over the course of its theater run when I'm bored.

One of my favorite things to do is go to the movies. I go like 30 to 40 times a year to see different things. During Oscar season my friends and I try and watch all the nominated movies in the theaters, and there is a really cool indie theater near my house. There is NOTHING like seeing a movie the way it was supposed to be seen.... On a big screen.

 

twice, once at midnight just for the pure fan "moment" and then probably 12 hours later after some sleep to really get the nuances of the story

I watched AOTC five times and ROTS seven times... so I guess because of maths.... nine times?

Me and my father are both big fans of the franchise, and have been anxiously waiting for a sequel to Return of the Jedi as far back as 1999 when the Phantom Menace released (Yeah, that far back...).

I imagine we'll both be seeing it multiple times, probably around 3 or more.

 

I didn't see the original trilogy in theaters until the Special edition as I was born a year after Empire came out and I saw those about 5 times each. TPM I saw a bunch. Its my least favorite Star Wars film but it was Star wars, it was out and I really wanted to watch it over and over again. Probably saw it at least 15-20 times in the theater. Probably more though, because after school I would walk home and the dollar theater near me had it so it was only a buck and I would go watch it again. AOTC I saw about 5 times in the Theater. And ROTS I saw about 3-4 times. I would have seen ROTS more, but my friend downloaded the pirate copy and had it in his dorm room running pretty much 24/7 for about 2 weeks. Must have been there when he had it on at least 20 times.

So, if TFA is really, really good I will go and see it once every 2 or so weeks while it is in theaters. If it isn't amazing, then probably a couple times when it first comes out and then once more in a 2nd run theater just to see it again before bows out of theaters.

 

I voted for 4 times because I plan to see the movie TWICE in one trip. After leaving one showing I'll go to the next one, same theatre: YEAH I'M JUST THAT HYPED!!

 

I'll see it at least 3 times, 4 if it's awsome

Ah yes the prisoner cell block number, still I doubt the cinema would anyone come back that length, afraid of a few spoilers in the house, unless the bribes are right.

 

I voted for twice because I know I'm good for at least twice, though the answer will probably be more.

I'm good for once opening weekend (likely Friday during the day with friends or co-workers, I'd like to be fully awake so midnight is out) and then again with the kids during the following week, if I think it is ok for younger kids. I'm sure it will be fine for them.
