    What a strange thread.
Did the chinese watch western movies at all?
Nontheless voted 200 million, because they are not western fanboys like us.
Just a guess, they probably watch rather their own stuff.

My question is: "Why is it so important how much the movie will make"?
It will break records, no doubt, already did with the pre-order sales and that is just the beginning.

T5 was a mess, they should have kept it in 1984.

yep you could watch 1, 2 & 5 and it makes an esthetically beauttiful trilogy to watch. but the beauty of t1 and t2 was as kyle reese said himself " you dont come back" as in you get to 1984 and you cant go back to the future(no pun). not just technology wise but as a story logic it makes it 100 more beliavable. being able to teleport to the future etc it was ludicrous.

I think it will make the most ever for a film in China....

I know I am going out there on this one but I just think that people in China will want to see Han, Luke and Leia

    I'am a Terminator fan too.
T2 is considered as the best Terminator movie, but I like T1 much more.

Yep T11 is nreally good but t2 a worthy of the name, t3 well melts my brain this whole predetermined fate bs. I knew t5 would fail with the final trailer, that was a huge spoiler again and Schwarzenegger was just a fanservice delivering old oneliners, everything rhymed to much.

Box office results from China in 2015 (so far):
    1. Furious 7: $390M
    2. Monster Hunt: $380M
    3. Lost in Hong Kong: $250M
    4. Age of Ultron: $240M
    5. Jurassic World: $230M
Between 100 and 200 million should be expected (less would be a disappointment), with 300 and 400 million as possibilities. It depends on whether Chinese people are familiar with Star Wars and whether the movie is any good.

They do have Donnie Yen in the upcoming Rogue One... that ought to raise some awareness.

not bad for furious 7 . jeremy linn directed it and on top of that he will direct star trek 3 so the fans in the know who like star trek mostly like jj and jeremy so star wars may get more attention and revenue.

YES they do, why a lot of block buster movies are doing so well in the box office records.

My Chinese GF says her relatives watch north American movies all the time. China has become some what americanized.
