Love it or hate it, The Last Jedi began a lot of discussions on

what makes a good SW film and how we view SW as a society. Here are two videos which attempt to put the reactions of critics, audience members and more hardcore fans to all SW episodes, except for VIII, which is still a bit too fresh to look at more critically. I'm sure you'll all see a certain tendency in these opinions, especially starting from The Phantom Menace...

I'll have to give it a look! The "Star Wars" factor, the thing that separates Star Wars from so many other things for me, has been something that always interests me.

Lucasfilm's former Dr. David West Reynolds described it just as I see and feel about it:

"To approach the world of Star Wars like ancient Rome or Egypt, considering it a culture from another time and place to explore."

Forty years after the premiere of Star Wars in 1977 I still find production details that never cease to amaze me and just reveal how much thought, talent and attention for detail (and continuity) went into the production of the Original Trilogy.

    Yep.
    Well said, my friend.
That there, what ya quoted Dr. David, has purdy much always been how (for me) I've seen Star Wars.
Said it many other times, the films, novels, shows, etc, they're All Stories told to me. It ain't for me to say this, that or the other should or shouldn't happen.
Been so in love with it all that way for goin' on forty-one years now.
