Jyn over Rey? Come on! Cardboard would have been better actor than Felicity Jones in R1. :D
As for Krennic, he is good, but you cannot compare him to Hux because they have different roles in their own movies.

oh dear god no Rey's acting wanted me to rip my eyes out.. and her voice is a HUGE turn off.. almost everything she did felt like she was over acting.

I love TFA and TLJ, especially TLJ. But, Rey was sometimes over-acted. Especially the "Reach out..." scene. Thankfully the film moves fast and it's quickly forgotten.

    Not worried at all.
RO had some reshoot problems and the movie turned out great.

This film coming out so close to TLJ will really hurt it. Marketing, the chance for the public at large to know it is on and to separate it from the last movie they just saw.

I disagree. I don't believe that at any point that they expect this film to do as well as the saga films do. My guess is that they see/expect it to perform in the Rogue One range. Like Rogue One, this is a film that is primarily for fans.

The presence of the Mother of Dragons may be full of optimism. Perhaps we will see another naked chest, this time not Kylo Ren?

Im not really keen yet, and maybe thats because all ive heard is the backlash. reshoots dont always mean failure (looking at you Rogue One) but firing directors, editors, and hiring a acting coach for your lead are some major signs of worry, and we also dont get the "December means Star Wars" as it has a May Release? or has that been pushed back again?

i am hoping a teaser will come out very soon, otherwise its going to under perform badly, but just like TLJ I walk in with an open mind, who knows?

Agreed about Ron Howard. I was relieved they dropped Lord and Miller. I don't see their style working well in SW. The reshoots only confirm this to me. I think the stalled promotional activity is to let it take on its own life after the TLJ excitement/ backlash/ divisiveness has settled down. I love TLJ and I'm confident I'll love Solo too. I don't understand why there's so much negativity about it without so much as a trailer yet. One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of haters like TLJ because the biggest whiners are so excited about tearing it to shreds, they're gonna look for reasons to complain no matter how good it is. Everyone should go into this movie with the attitude you had as kids. WANT to like it, and there's a good chance you'll find reason to. Go in anxious to complain and you'll find your ammo. No movie is perfect, so the worst pessimists will always get their way

eh, you know what? I thought that Rogue One was gonna be a big pile but I was wrong and I loved it. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised again.

It's a lot more than 4 so I don't know which 4 you are referring to.... but suffice to say that the different actors actually seen on screen portraying Anakin/Vader were separated by many years of in-universe time.
Separated by many years of in-universe time.
Not only separated by many years of in-universe time, but only one is actually seen on screen.
    Incredibly minor character.
The 2 actors who played him in motion pictures were - you guessed it - separated by many years of in-universe time.
The problem is that he is supposed to be roughly the same age as Harrison Ford in E4, and he will be directly compared to one of the great actors of all time playing an iconic role at his best.

Let's hope the rumors of him being a complete disaster are not true.

IIRC the age range is 19-25 that this movie will cover. Han Solo was 29-ish in ANH.

Regardless, it's not a problem if you are mentally able to let go that it's not Harrison Ford in this film. His mannerisms, expression, posture, gait and delivery will sell the character more than any still photo will.

Harrison Ford was 34 years old, portraying a character that was five years younger during the production of "A New Hope". If Ford can do that, then Alden Ehrenreich can get away with portraying Han at a younger age.

I never had a problem with Sean Patrick Flannery, Corey Carrier and George Hall all portraying Indiana Jones at different ages in "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles". Ehrenreich should be a walk in the park for me.

    So what?

That is a good point and, as I noted above, I hope the reports of him doing a very poor job are greatly exaggerated.

I think Ron Howard is experienced enough to at least deliver a good movie that will be fun and entertaining. We'll see how it ends up but I don't want to make any real judgement until the trailer drops.

Let me explain this without throwing something at my computer screen in frustration. In "A New Hope", Han Solo was roughly around 29 years of age, despite being portrayed by a 34 year-old Harrison Ford. Alden Ehrenreich is now 28 years old. He will be 29 in November. He is both old and young enough to portray Han in this upcoming film. By the way, I have never regarded Ford as "one of the great actors of all time". He is a very competent actor. I suspect that a lot of people in Hollywood feel the same.

This was probably reported by Lord and Miller, whose direction was described as lousy by Ehrenreich to the Disney suits. The latter watched Lord and Miller's work and probably agreed with the actor.
