The thing that came to my mind just now is that a lot of people are going to hear how Alden sounds because the movie is going to be shown dubbed in local language. So, really, if you are not watching it in English, than all that matters is how good is Alden's acting in general, not his voice.
For example, here is what I am most likely to hear:

The fact they never changed the script for this film tells me that Solo will be fine. I was never 100% excited about this film. I expect Solo to be fun. Rogue One wasn't really a fun adventure and The Last Jedi was like most middle chapter films. The biggest thing I'm hoping is that this film is fun.

I'm in the Last Jedi "haters" camp but i'm optimistic for Solo.

Even if Alden's performance is completely off (seems that way) I can still put that aside and enjoy it for the Star Wars universe itself. But fill it with a bunch of new aliens which don't seem Star Warsy? Fill it with actors who don't understand the tone of Star Wars? I won't be enjoying it.

They need to get this one right where it counts.. or it'll be devastating for the franchise. Let's just hope that Larry Kasdan's son is a real Star Wars fan and had some good ideas.

love glover. but is he right for Lando? He has this kind of stoner vibe to his acting which is the complete opposite of the high energy traits of Lando in the OT.

I'm not too worried. Neil Lamount is doing Production Design so it will Look awesome. Bradford Young is the DP. Lando's back. Woody is always delivers. The Kasdan's are writing. If Alden isn't great, there will be plenty for me to enjoy I hope. I'm trying to stay positive

So true. I haven't been worried either. Nor have I about any of them.

After the newest trailer (from Monday) I have a new answer to the thread-question or - better - the question, how worried I am now: I think, there is no reason to be really worried about "Solo" as a movie - as I've written in another thread, I really love the "Serenity-vibe" in the trailer -, but then again, I'm worried abut (Ehrenreich's) solo. It was very hard for me to see Han Solo in Ehrenreich's performance and maybe, at the end, it would have been for me, if they just made a gangster-SW-film with another (new) guy instead of Solo... I mean, the universe is big enough for it, isn't it?

But: This statement is no final statement. I will wait for the movie, of course...

Although it is only a small sample size, I think Alden seems to have Han’s mannerisms down. Also it appears that Alden’s and Joonas’ chemistry seems to be good like Harrison’s and Mayhew’s. I think this bodes well for the movie and Alden’s performance. We can’t go by voice because Alden is never going to sound like Harrison. Just like Glover sounds nothing like Billy D. In the end, I think this is going to be a fun movie

I have never expected Alden Ehrenreich to sound like Harrison Ford. In fact, that seems like a waste of time. I just hope he will give a good performance, especially since I've seen him in three previous movies and have been impressed by his acting.

Alden is definitely a good actor. I’m confident he will do a good job with Han. Alden’s and Joonas’ chemistry, therefore Han’s and Chewie’s, seems to be really good in this movie. I think this is important factor in fans buying into Alden as Han. Han and Chewie are synonymous with each other and if there relationship is believable in this movie then we should be able to not dwell on the differences in Alden’s performance compared to Harrison’s

i'm just hoping it is a good movie that does not try to reinvent the star wars wheel and fit well within the universe

No offense but...what exactly would be my reason to go see this film, other than just wanting to give Disney some more money? TFA took Han Solo and made him into the biggest loser in the galaxy, so why bother with a film about his past, when in the end he gets killed BY HIS OWN SON!! I'd go see a film about Lando's past, which at this point would be the ONLY reason to see SOLO.

Do like I do and pretend that the sequel trilogy does not exist when you go see the movie lol

With this logic. Why watch the OT since we know that Han is going to end up a biggest loser in the galaxy that George help started, since he doesn't shoot first.....

Han Solo has made some... questionable choices even before TFA. Sure, being killed by your own son is a very sad way to go, but I don't think Disney made him any more of a loser. All things considering, with his lifestyle and the choices he was making, Han was pretty damn lucky.
And a good prequel about how he went from being a young idealist to a cynical smuggler would be greatly supplement his OT character arc where he want from being a cynical smuggler to someone with a cause to fight for. And in the end, he risked his life to rescue a girl he barely knew and died by facing his son instead of running away from the problem. So yeah, Han is not a loser.

Well.....Disney/LFL made the movie.....so if you want to see it, I guess you would have to 'give Disney some more money.'

They sell a product, and if you want to purchase the product, you have to give up some money. Or not. You don't have to go see it of course, but I never have gone into a movie thinking "well I guess I'm giving [movie company here] some more money." I just don't look at the world that way.

Bottom line, go see it if you want to, or don't. It looks harmless, it looks fun. I'll be there to see it, but grease your own pan I guess, man.
