They say it’s going to turn north. I’ll feel better when it does.

I don't normally keep junk food items around, but most junk food is shelf stable. Now I can resist buying them, but I can't resist eating them if they're just a few steps away.

I've lost a few pounds recently, and I have a 5K on Saturday, but if the power goes out, I will probably gain a few pounds back from eating everything in the freezer before it goes bad. I've got some good stuff in there. Oh well, back on the wagon again next week!

It's still pounding the Bahamas right now. Good news is, it's projected to track even farther east than before, so it should be offshore when it goes by us. Likely to get tropical storm level winds and not full hurricane force. I'm not very worried at this point. Should still flood coastal areas, but even that should be less than what was originally expected. Could still lose power, and that's no fun with 95 degree temperatures.

It's moving so slow and hovered over the Bahamas for so long. Those people are going to need help.

It's been agonizing to watch it on the news, just sitting and spinning over those poor people for days. :(

I’m certainly no expert on Hurricanes but Dorian is not acting like most hurricanes
As they normally don’t just sit there over a area. The Bahamas have had nearly 24h of hurricane that’s just not normal
So the winds have dropped to about 130 MPH but the amount of rain they are getting is causing major problems plus it’s got to be affecting the rescue operations.

It was originally supposed to reach here Sunday night into Monday morning, but kept getting slower and slower. I hate that for everyone in the Bahamas, but when it slowed down, that allowed time for the high pressure north of here to move out, and that's why the track shifted farther east. That high pressure was keeping it from moving north sooner and it was headed right for us. They've come a long way with predicting the path, but there is still so much uncertainty because there's a lot to factor in.
