SPECULATION I believe "Is it true? you're just a scavanger?" its not a line to Rey but..

    Remember it was in some novel where Luke is with him and that girl describes him as a scavanger.. and then he turns on Luke.. so I think Kylo asks him that because he too doesnt have a clue (Maybe because he can feel his force?)

    Nicely picked up. The tone of the line was disdainful (to my ear), more fitting for Sarco Plank than Rey (assuming that Rey/Kira and Ren are related or somehow acquainted). Definitely plausible, and they don't pay a story group for nothing. But hey, at this point anything's possible.

    Otherwise, if Ren doesn't know Rey, and is in awe of some demonstration of power or her connection to the force, the line still fits.

    IDK. It's difficult to say who Kylo is speaking to. Any guess is a good one at this point, which makes it so much fun. Just think, back when ANH came out, who would you have thought Vader was speaking to when he said "What have you done with those plans!"?

    This idea is possible but as hard as they are marketing Rey as a scavenger, I still think the most likely scenario is he is talking to Rey.

    Sorry. You're wrong. The line "You're just a SCAVANGAR" does not actually appear in the script at all.

    I think the quote comes after he (Kylo Ren) makes very quick work of Finn, and Rey steps in to save the life of the fallen mate. This comment, precluded by the whipping Kylo puts on Finn, sets up the crowd for an amazing exhibition of Rey's abilities...
