I have a bad feeling...

How do you feel about not hearing the line in The Last Jedi?

  1. I give no importance to this. Move on, move on.

  2. I can hear clearly. It's really cool that BB8 says the line.

  3. I think it's true BB8 says it but I would prefer another character.

  4. It's ok but I would prefer it in an understandable way.

  5. I can't hear it but I am ok with the way it appears.

  6. It's the better way to move forward with the franchise.

  7. It really bothers me not hearing the line in The Last Jedi.

  8. Seems the director gives no importance to little things.

  9. Not hearing the line it seems disrespectful to the 40 year old tradition.

Did you walk out of the theater that night knowing BB8 said it? I guarantee 100% of moviegoers did not know BB8 uttered that classic line. How are we supposed to know BB8 uttered the phrase unless RJ has to tell us in interviews after the movie came out. How is that the fault of fans???

Thank you cause you proved my point as you look at it as an ‘unimportant, throw away line’ which is why it is a metaphor that TLJ is more like a standalone than a Saga movie. I may put that quote of yours in my Sig cause it encapsulates the respect it shows towards the previous 7 movies.

I don’t know about a dopey petition (nor do I care), but 99% fans understood the Fox logo/music could not legally appear because Disney bought the franchise. That is much different than ‘I got a bad feeling’ dialogue which was not legally held up because Lucas wasn’t writing the movie.

It’s crazy because Disney does own it now since it now owns Fox’s movie division.

No I did not know BB-8 had said it, nor had I even noticed that I had not heard the line because it is not important. It is a piece of trivia. I didn't even know it was missing until I came to this thread.

You cannot guarantee 100% of the audience didn't know it. It is quite possible that many people did have the imagination to figure it to. Those that cared at any rate. And really it is not that hard to figure out where the line might be. If it is not spoken in English then it must have been spoken by an alien or droid. Easy enough to narrow down those scenes.

Yes, "boo-hiss" to Rian Johnson for doing something a little different with it. The nerve of him.

You are more and complaining about something being missing from the film that is not missing at all.

No I have not "proved your point" because prior to this post you made no mention of it being a metaphor. You have been going overboard claiming the dialogue is of vital importance to the franchise.

And now you are saying the Star Wars Story movies are unimportant and throwaway? Good grief.

It is no different. Neither are of importance to the films.

Even the way you phrase here is like you think the movies do need the logo and fanfare but are only missing because of legalities.

    Again with the percentages.
