    I tried to purchase tickets for Thursday night, but all the AMC theaters near me were basically sold out for the first screenings in the first 20 minutes, buy the time my cue was ready to order, the only available seats were for IMAX 3D first row by the screen or handicap seats ( of which you will get booted out of your seat if you are not disabled and someone of need requires those seats). Even the poorly lit digital screenings were sold out until 11pm. I decided to go to the first non-3D showing in IMAX for Dec. 20th at 9:00 am. and Dolby Cinema on Saturday at 1pm. The older I get, the more the night time screenings are less fun for me, especially on a work night. If I do get the FOMO feeling on Thursday, I can see it at my old school hometown theater. They don't do reservations or select seating. The screens are small but the sound system is Dolby Stereo.

    I just bought tickets for two screenings: I got one of the few remaining seats for the 6:00 PM screening on the 19th, and then got three tickets to see it again on the afternoon of the 20th. On the 20th, I'm taking my eight-year-old son Luke and my father who took me to see Return of the Jedi when I was eight. Balance.

    I've got a ticket for the 00.01 showing on Thursday 19th December. And it can't come soon enough!
    I've also considered the family and bought tickets for the Saturday too...
    I should be able to squeeze in a couple more viewings by Chrimbo Day!

    Yay for everyone getting their tickets!!!

    I got IMAX tickets for my husband and myself for the evening of December 20th and a standard ticket at another theater for the morning of December 22nd for just myself.

    This happened to me for TFA. I had two computers going with different websites. Everything was crashing. Couldn't get tickets for at least 1.5 - 2 hours!

    This time I must have really lucked out. I had Fandango open all day and was refreshing it periodically to see if tickets were on sale yet. Finally, I refreshed and the tickets must have just gone on sale because I was the first person to buy tickets for my 7 pm showing on Thursday the 19th. There was no crashing, no cue, nothing. I got in at just the right time!

    Thank you! It does kind of bother me when my family makes fun of me and call me a nerd, sometimes. I just get excited about the upcoming movies, etc. Wish you lived closer...would love someone to go with and talk to about the movie afterwards.

    I went straight to the website of the theater I wanted to see the film at, found the showing I wanted, and had my tickets purchased within minutes.

    No waiting required.

    But seriously I think they give out SW themed goodies i.e poster, cups & SW Themed stuff
    But as I have never had the chance to go to one I may be mistaken.
