I JUST BOUGHT MY TICKETS!!!

Stay away from certain candy cartons, some have mostly air and only a few pieces of chocolate.

 

True, I don't want to name names, but you certainly have a point. We're probably grab something to eat before the movie- maybe go to the Christkindl's market.

 

Wise idea! For myself only popcorn, maybe nachos, and a beverage.

 

I bought my ticket for december 18th at 9 am!!!

PS. People from Europe will see the movie first, I guess.

Got tickets on the 19th because our eldest has no time on the 18th. And I was hoping for the cinema to get their IMAX ready but that didn't happen yet. If it will be ready in time, I might try to get a ticket for the 18th too.

I bought tix for the 19th here in Australia.
Scored an Australian premiere ticket for Wednesday the 18th in Sydney-which will be massive.
so just 10 days left to go for me.
Can't believe tomoz the double digits are done for me.
This is insane!!

 

Back in October, I bought tickets for me & the gf for the 10 AM show on the 18th in my hometown (9 AM UK time). One would think that was enough, right? Not so! I just now went and bought tickets to the 14:30 showing too!

I have never watched a film twice in the cinema on the same day so this is going to be a very cool experience, I think And we have time to grab a good meal in between showings, so the 18/12-2019 is going to be a pretty grand day

Despite the film being shown 30-something times on the 18th at my theater, it was really hard to get tickets. I wanted to watch it in a super-comfy VIP hall, but there was no chance of getting tickets there and we had to make do with a small hall showing. Oh well In any case, that bodes good for the box office, I guess?

 

I have my third screening booked. I hope I like it!

 

I just won two tickets for TROS in a facebook contest! So, now I will see the premiere at 9 AM (tickets that I bought) and later on at 6 PM with my wife.

Starting to get quite a bit nervous now. I know a lot of people think that those of us who hated the Last Jedi are, not true fans, trolls, misogynists, scum, racist..... i could go on for a very long time listing the amount of insults i've been given for simply not liking a film and have never given anyone abuse who liked the film infact all i've ever said was i'm envious and wish I liked it.

The truth is i've loved Star Wars since I can remember, I use to jump round my mums living room pretending to be Luke Skywalker, so the idea that one day i would watch a star wars film I genuinely hate it never crossed my mind. Yeah their are elements of stars wars films books and programs I don't particularly love, I'll be the first to admit Caravan of Courage is a bit boring and C3P0 is a bit annoying in the battle of Geonosis. But I never hated them I just accepted that like with anything you love its rarely perfect but you still love it.

But sitting in the pub with my mate after the last Jedi, with it slowly dawning on me that I really hated that film and that genuinely made me feel really sad, far more sad than some one of my age should becuase they didn't like a film. I've tried many times since to watch it and at least tolerate it, but if i'm honest with myself i've hated it more every time. I just hate it and their nothing I can do about that.

So now with The Rise of Skywalker Im nervous! I don't want to come out of that film feeling like I did after the Last Jedi. I want to have that feeling I use to associate with coming out of a Star Wars films or child like excitement and wonder. Fingers crossed it delivers.

 

No one should get insulted for liking or disliking a movie and discussing it. It's so stupid that that is how a lot of the online discussions are going. So annoying to basically be told you are wrong because of how you feel about a thing. I hope you enjoy the next one and that we all can have good discussions in here regardless of how the movie turns out.

I really enjoyed TLJ. I fear all the hate will continue for the next three years if this film doesn't live up to expectations. Then once a new Star Wars film is finally about to be released all the haters will somewhat apologize for all the backlash in hopes of a great film. You see it even with the Mandalorian. Oh, that was a great episode but last weeks episode was trash etc... I bought my tickets for Thursday and Friday and I'm looking forward to a good time and I'll stay off the internet... don't want anyone to ruin my joy of Star Wars.

The build up and anticipation the past 2 yrs,let alone from the day the Disney buyout happened,has been such a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

I never ever thought this day would come.
It is in a way,bittersweet.
from a fan at the age of 4,til now 42.
I only hope it's the end of the Skywalker saga BUT not the end,and that Eps X,XI and XII are just a few years away.

Star wars is forever.
