I love Star Wars but also...

Jonny Quest!!! I LOVE Jonny Quest!! It was my favorite cartoon as a kid. They used to show reruns at like 6 a.m. on Saturdays in the '80s, and I would get up just to watch Jonny and Hadji (and all the creepy bad guys, of course. I had nightmares about that invisible monster).

Another show I could only get at weird times on rerun was the old live-action Batman.

Pow! Biff! Sock! with a light powdering of philosophy on top. I mean really. You just don't get quality TV like that these days.

One of my other childhood favorites was Lord of the Rings (the book), which of course Peter Jackson later very kindly made into movies just for me.

 

Some other things I love is Harry Potter, Jane Austen books, Game of Thrones, Marvel, etc.

OMG I love the Dark Knight Trilogy!

That year the last movie came up I wore Catwoman's costume for Halloween lol.

 

that's awesome! oh man, i love this trilogy obsessively.

i used to tell people that Nolan gave me back the childhood that Lucas wrecked with the PT.
George and i have made peace now that i have Star Wars back in my life again, but Nolan's Batman will always be the only trilogy i ever watched ceaselessly on repeat for years following the release of TDKR (seriously, to the exclusion of all else).

i hope when the ST is done, it's so good it gives Nolan a run for the money. hahaha

Idk about you guys, but my teenage/preteen years were pretty much consumed by DBZ. This show was everything for me. I remember sitting in my kitchen in the house I grew up in and watching Goku go super saiyan for the first time, I nearly lost my mind. I was hooked. If you were a DBZ fan, I think that moment resonates more than any other. It sucks though, I bought the complete collection on Blu Ray and rewatched it. Just doesn't have the same effect as it used to, seems very drawn out and lost a lot of originality as it went on. I would still consider it the greatest anime of all time. I know many would argue that, but this show was just something special. Still no Star Wars though, always #1

For me, it's:

+ Alien, Aliens, Giger

+ PS1 gen RPG/strategy games (like Breath of Fire, Legend of Legaia, Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, etc.)

+ Ink & paint...I have sort of an unhealthy obsession with bottled ink. I love fluid painting (with ink made from alcohol & pigment on non-porous surfaces), Suminagashi and Ebru.

 

If you fools didn't like some Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, then you weren't right.

Oh yeah the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers One part of my childhood! I rewatched the first two seasons recently, was fun to see al that cheesy stuff, haha.
I also loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The cartoon and the movies made early 90's were so much fun.
I still love FRIENDS, Game of Thrones and the the main series Pokémon games, Harry Potter. There are a lot of other stuff too, like Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Mary Poppins, The Dark Crystal, Superhero movies. There is just too much stuff XD

Aside from SW am interested in Transformers,G.I.Joe,M.A.S.K. , Marvel and DC comics,Battlestar Galactica and ROBOTECH.

 

I grew up on The Princess Bride, and LOTR (the books originally, then the movies as they came out. Haven't aged quite as well as Star Wars imo, but I still love to watch from time to time)

 

Here's quite a few that I didn't notice. Others included Dexter's Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog Show, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Johnny Bravo, Rocket Power, Pokêmon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Gi Joe, That's So Raven, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy, Friends, Frasier, and so so many others. It brings back many, many good memories to talk about all of these shows and movie series.

Not to forget about lots included already like Harry Potter, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Power Rangers, and etc..

 

any one here big Tolkien or George RR Martin fans? For me: Tolkien is the master of Fantasy.
