Or maybe that's why Wookies are so badass - because they're half Chuck Norris ;)

I didn’t even know this thread existed until just now, but now that I do...

    upload_2019-4-11_19-46-24.gif

    First off:

-Episodes 1 and 2 aren’t as bad as people say, but I still don’t think they’re good exactly. Conversely, Episode 3 isn’t as great as people say, but is still a solid Star Wars film IMO.
-Rogue One is overrated. The characters and soundtrack didn’t do much for me and those are two of the most important things to me when it comes to Star Wars (and all movies in general.) It’s still an okay movie and the ending was very exciting.
-Solo is a very good Star Wars movie, but I think I somewhat killed my enjoyment of it when I watched it like 20 times in a month after getting the blu-ray... (Hey, in my defense: I was starving for Star Wars content last fall!)
-The sequels were vital in relaunching Star Wars. Had Disney not bought LFL, Star Wars would have inevitably fallen out of relevance again after The Clone Wars series ended.
-Owen and Beru Lars and Bail Organa are underrated characters that deserve more representation.
-The Thrawn Trilogy (and most of the EU in general) was dull and overrated.
-The new canon is better than the old EU.
-Resistance is an underrated show and has been some of the freshest Star Wars content in a while. Its first season is better than the first seasons of Rebels and Clone Wars.
-Padme was a great character in TCW, but was poorly utilized in the movies themselves.
-Same could be said about Anakin tbh; I liked Hayden’s portrayal in Ep. 3 (Anakin in Ep. 2 suffered from a poor script and an atrocious love story, not the Hayden’s acting), but Matt Lanter is what makes me love the character. No disrespect to Hayden, but Matt is the best incarnation of Anakin Skywalker ever.
-Obi-Wan was completely forgettable in Ep. 1 and I disagree with how George handled him in Ep, 2 (primarily his relationship with Anakin), but TCW and Ep. 3 gives us the best incarnation of Kenobi ever.
-I don’t have that big of a problem with Hayden’s force ghost in ROTJ.
-Rian Johnson is the best director and writer for the new era of movies.
-Not enough attention is brought to the fact that Obi-Wan (and Yoda to an extent) was kind of a jerk in ROTJ.
-The humor in TLJ isn’t bad.
-Seasons 3-6 of The Clone Wars is some of the best Star Wars stories we’ve ever seen and is right up there with ESB for me.
-ROTJ was a bit too flashy. Too many explosions and I feel that the Super Star Destroyer was way too easy to take down.
-People call the First Order incompetent when the Empire crashed two of it’s Star Destroyers into each other in ESB.
-I didn’t really like Wedge Antilles’ portrayal in Star Wars Rebels.
-I’m glad that Dooku has been getting more attention recently, as he is underdeveloped and underrated character.

Okay, that’s it for me. Hopefully I haven’t ruffled too many feathers, but hey I’m right. (From a certain point of view.) ;)

    I hate the EU/Legends.

    Rogue One bored me.

    Cheers,

Spot on my good sir!! Now something random.

Chinese scientists have implanted human brain genes into monkeys, in a study intended to provide insights into the unique evolution of human intelligence.

Researchers inserted human versions of MCPH1, a gene that scientists believe plays a role in the development of the human brain, into 11 rhesus monkeys.

TIE fighters may be iconic, but they're pretty lame... how did a military as significant as the Empire ever come to sign off on a one-man strike fighter with no shielding whatsoever!?

Riding jet-bikes through a forest at high speed was never a good idea no matter how quick the riders reactions may have been... but sending predominantly white armoured troops down to a forest world was an even more stupid idea - especially when they'd been smart enough to send them in camo-armour to Kashykkk

Kinda the same reason they lacked hyperdrives.

TIEs weren't meant to be ruthless killing machines. They're an expendable swarm unit meant to show off the might of the Empire. A show of force, this time in numbers instead of strength like AT-ATs or the Death Star.

    Got one:

Rey is Korkie Kryze's daughter and Korkie Kryze is Obi-Wan and Satine's secret lovechild. ;) No power in the 'verse can stop it. Mando-Rey all the way!

    Okay, one more:

Star Wars: Rebels is the best thing to come out of Disney/Lucasfilm so far. :D

    Some post Celebration takes!

Retconning TLJ would be one of the biggest mistakes in modern cinema. It would essentially be giving into mob rule and taking the auteurism out of Star Wars in a time when big budget cinema needs it more than ever.

The Mandalorian is going to be the outlet for people upset with TLJ. It will be so action forward and won't "ruin" legacy characters and it will be used as a weapon against TLJ somehow.

    Here's a fresh, piping-hot take

The Mandalorian panel was the best at Celebration and the leaked episode footage was amazing, not saying I didn't love the IX panel and trailer though:)
