Idea for Star Wars Live Action TV Show

I am totally down with an anthology style Star Wars television show, sounds like a great idea.

 

I like the way you're thinking. I've always thought a Rogue Squadron-type of show would work well on TV.

 

I can't really remember on wich post I mentioned this but I talked about this very same issue thinking that it would be an awesome idea. Just like they do in American Horror Story, the SW live action TV show could make each season a self contained story. This would please many fans as many different characters can be used. One season could focus on the Jedi while the next could fully focus on the Bounty Hunters. They can even jump threw the timelines as one season could be on Luke's timeline while another can be from the Old Republic. They don't even have to worry about messing up the future canon because even if there is a story in Luke's time they don't nessecarily have to interwine with the OT characters. Having Tessek survive the sail barge explosion and retuning to Mon Calamari to build a criminal empire using Jabba's stolen good doesn't mess up nothing that can happen in the future movies asuming of course that they are not planning to use Tessek or point out that somebody else stole Jabba's fortune but you get my picture.

 

Wow guys you all have ideas that are cool. It would be nice if we got a live action show like this \m/ \m/

 

What about you WookieMonster? What do you think could be an awesome story arc? I just posted on another post a little while ago that it would be awesome to have an underwater Sw saga featuring fan favorite aliens like the Quarren, Ishi Tib, Nautolans and Aqualish. I think that would really rock since I love the ocean and I'd love to explore more of the seas in the SW universe. What would you like to see?

 

One idea I think would be cool would be to follow a captain and his crew aboard the Falcon. Since you could jump around the timeline. It could take place long before Han & Chewy had the Millennium Falcon.

 

That could be a very cool and interesting story since all we really know about the ship is that it was Lando's before it was Han's. The Falcon could have belonged to someone else before Lando and there could be great stories told around that and having a part of the story where we could get to see the Falcon race against the Outrider would really blow my mind!

A rag tag rebel fleet and it's escapades on funding and finding a new secret base .....the battle star galactica series did an awesome job on the search for a home ..I reckon starwars could fill a couple of seasons with this easy and then develop....I would also leave it force and jedi free ..save those aspects for the films

 

I'd like to see it set 10-20 years after ROTJ and be based around bounty hunters and smugglers.

 

I know we're kinda getting this story in TFA, but I would like a show were we focus on a stormtrooper's perspective WITHOUT him (or her) defecting from the Empire. Have it were this person genuinely believes he's doing good things.

OR, have a show were it focuses on a pod-racer who's living a hard life and is trying to make it through each day with the money from the races.

OORR, have a story were it focuses on a gang war on a isolated part of Coruscant.

 

I would really like to see stories based on both the gang war on Coruscant or the Pod Racer pilot as you have said. I've always wanted to see more stories in the SW universe that were not related to the Empire vs Rebelion / Sith vs Jedi story in any way. That's what I loved about many things in the EU that weren't related to the main story of the SW saga. There are tons of interesting characters out there that I would love to know more about and now that the EU is no longer canon there are tons of things that we fans don't know. A very interesting thing that I'm dying to know is who survived the Sarlacc battle. In the EU, Boba Fett, Bossk, Tessek, the Rebo Band and Bib Fortuna had all survived yet now we know nothing of these characters or of who didn't bite the dust in that battle. For all we know guys like Ree Yees and Salacious Crumb can be very alive and well! On your Podracer Pilot idea I would love to see more of Elan Mak since I think he looks cool and I really liked seeing him in the deleted scentdes of the Podrace.

 

I wouldnt want to see a live action TV show. The Clone Wars and Rebels is good enough. they would take away from the whole SW saga. A show after RotJ would be hard cause you wont be able to use Luke/Leia/Han cause of age. Im not trying to degrade your thread of TV shows they would have to start on a tv show after the ST is done. like they did with clone wars and Rebels. Cause you know what they are fighting for leading to the Episode movies. if they did a live action SW TV show they should do one that takes place before TPM. To see Jedi's and Sith Lords fight to take over the force, like a history lesson. that would be more fitting and to add to your thread. Hope you understand my opinion.

On TFN someone suggests something set during the 1000 years before TPM where a crime syndicate rises to power while the Sith sow the seeds of corruption in the Republic. I love this idea.

 

That could be pretty great, going one step farther, it could showcase the rise of Black Sun, possibly showing their power struggle with older crime syndicates like The Exchange. Tying that into the machinations of one of the Sith Lords, whether it be Bane or one of his descendants would be great.

 

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Black Sun vs. The Exchange would definitely be interesting. Maybe The Exchange does something that angers the Sith, so the Sith respond by supporting Black Sun.

 

That would be really cool and having Black Sun involved would definitely bring Bounty Hunters into the picture!

 

Maybe the Genoharadan could play a role in this intrigue.
