Idea for Star Wars Live Action TV Show

I want a show about the Guavian Death Gang and Kanjiklub.

 

I know they are from Old Republic series but I don't know anything about them. Care to fill me in a bit? Are they hunters or mercenaries?

 

I was thinking this on my third viewing of TFA on Tuesday.

 

They're a group of Bounty Hunters who manipulate politics through assasination. One of my headcanons is that they introduced Jango to Tyranus.

It might be cool to see a show (I would call it Star Wars: Legends) that tells a story or a series of stories on a theme… sort of like the books Tales of the Bounty Hunters, Tales from Jabba's Palace, etc.

The stories would focus on characters, worlds, peoples, places, events, etc… it could be new content, BUT it could also make good use of some EU material that is not canon anymore, but isn't necessarily untrue in the new canon. (hence, the name "legend"). For example: "The Legends of Mandalore," "The Legend of Xizor," "The Legends of Mos Eisely," "The Legend of the Kaiburr Crystal" "The Legends of the 501st," "The Legend of Thrawn," etc. etc. etc. Each week would take on a new subject or theme that is unique for that weel (by doing it "monster of the week" style, there is no need for running subplot).

Essentially, each episode is a postcard from somewhere in that galaxy far, far away.

 

It's just seems to hard to make a live action for a tv spinoff. In anime atlease you can add characters from the past and have people that sound like characters. I like how it is different between movies and TV. A live SW show would have to be a side story. Just imagining the Rebels as a live action show would be a long process. basically making it a movie. Even R1 is a side story and the anthology kinda makes me iffy on watching it.

 

I always thought a show like Marvel's SHIELD. A Star Wars show about the events that we read about during the crawl, between each episodic film of the saga, building up to the next film, from other minor characters point of view. The crawl from the movie would basically tell us what happened in the season prior to the movie, those who watched the show can see the events transpire, and those who haven't don't miss out, they get a summary about it.

 

I always imagined an Obi-Wan Kenobi anthology film.. same western style, but with a sense of urgency. Darth Maul would come to Tatooine, perhaps accompanied by some deadly assassins and become the main antagonist of the film. Perhaps he has heard of Skywalker or has some other evil plans to pursue on the planet.. Since Ben Kenobi's mandate is to protect Luke Skywalker at all costs, he would come out of hiding and pursue Maul and they could potentially have their final (and much deserved/anticipated) showdown. I like your idea about a show, but since Tatooine is so desolate and simple, I can't imagine a tv-show about Obi-Wan in exile. Interesting idea though!

I always wanted to see a show that followed three characters and their stories: 1. Vader and him hunting down Jedi, 2. Wedge and the early days of an x-wing squadron, and 3. Bail Organa/ Mon Mothma recruiting new members of the Alliance.

 

How about a show with the Falcon as the "main character". The show could tell the story of the Falcon from construction to Solo. Season one could start with whoever looking for a new ship. They buy it off the showroom floor and the season tells their story of their time with the Falcon and the modifications they make to it. The season ends with the Falcon changing hands. Season 2 brings in a whole new cast and tells the story of the new crew. Each season would have a new cast and crew. This could easily go one for many seasons.

 

What if they had a TV show covering how Darth Vader killed the rest of the Jedi after ROTS? It would be like a few years before ANH, and before R1 and Rebels. Instead of all the action, they could concentrate on how Vader was conflicted, and how he felt about loosing his wife. It would be a little more personal, and could see some characters like Palpatine and Tarkin. Also, it could show us Vader getting higher in the Imperial ranks, and then getting his TIE Advanced and things like that. This could be really cool.

 

What about a TV series based on the Rogue One film.......................?

 

I like the idea of a young Lando show. Maybe get to run into young Han and Chewie. See Nar Shada. Watch some Sabacc games. See how Lando ends up running Cloud City. No Jedi. I don't know, might be cool.

I suggested something similar in a TV format on JCF. Similar to American Horor Story every season something diffrent. It can be a mother & or father telling a child in bed a bedtime story. Now here is the beauty of it.

Say one season the parents are telling the Story of how Hera got the Ghost. The dad can say she was a blue Chis then the child says "No she was a Yellow Mirilian!" But then the mom says she was a green Twi'lek, all the while the cam freezes and the actress keeps changing colors!

Season two can be a Cantina owner telling the story of Dash Rendar. Then some one slams his drink & says "He was just a made up Rebel Scum legend!"

Then season 3 a campfire story!

Could work & since there tales they don't have to be 100% accurate!

 

After seeing Netflix's biggest year and Rogue One, I think we could definitely see Star Wars mythos be done in an anthology series on Netflix. I think that would be a great way to set up the return of the Sith, as well as make a canon KOTOR story, and once it's shot on film, it reaches bigger audiences. And with the whole universe being interconnected, that would be huge!
