    Yeah last sequel aint ever going to happen. Maybe we take a break from the main timeline ie the next trilogy might not follow PT OT ST but just wait if sales flag they will go right back to what works.

    When it comes to the trilogy movies, they have to follow the movies chronologically now that GL's original vision is over .

    Read the critics reviews when A New Hope was released. They were not applauding its acting or screenwriting, but it's 'magical effects' :)

    then read the reviews for empire and jedi too fam.

    empire got lukewarm reviews in 80 and jedi mixed reviews in 83, only a new hope received critical acclaim.
    And its still to this day the only SW movie that got nominated for best writing and direction at the academy awards .;)

    Empire and Jedi are Lucas ' films as well. He just let other people, he trusted, direct them.

    He was still the man in charge.

    IMHO, I'd like to see George direct or at LEAST be on-set as a consultant for the last movie that the original remaining cart are in. In my mind, it would all have come full-circle and be fitting.
