I would definatlely see Episode IX if this happens:

The concluding major battle scene at IX's ending shows Rey, Kylo/Ben, Finn, Rose Tico, Poe, BB-8, Maz Kanata, Hux and Phasma all team up to destroy the reincarnated Emperor, by flying a formation of Star Destroyers at hyperspace speed into the mystery planet that contains the crashed Death Star remains and the Emperor (and his clones) are on.

The whole thing blows up in the biggest every explosion you've ever seen in your entire life in full surround sound (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!) for about ten minutes in slow motion, everyone is killed/martryed. Ever microbe, cell and atom in the vicinity is wiped out. The explosion will be so bright, that your cinema screen room will appear like all the lights are full on, or that the roof is missing and you're sitting in broad daylight under the sun. (If you went in the daytime, that is.) The explosion will be so violent that nosebleeds and temporary unconciousness may occur, which result in this movie being given an 18 or R rated adult certification (to keep the annoying kids out too, heh!)

At a safe distance, Lando, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO are aboard the Millennium Falcon and survive to tell the tale. They mourn their losses for the correct amount of time, then fly back to Endor.

After the explosion, there is a celebration party on the Forest Moon of Endor, where an elderly Chief Wicket of Bright Tree Village Tribe invites our survivors to their tree top village platform party. R2-D2 scans a strange familar sound and goes off to investigate in the dark night, and finds hidden in a tree clearing nearby at ground level, another party attended by all the Force Ghosts of all the classic and prequel trilogy characters who all smile and wave at a happy R2-D2 for the final scene of the film and this godawful trilogy.

Iris in, fade to end credits.....

I'll definitely see it. I will probably see it opening weekend, but not opening day (I'm just not into the darn crowds and unless I take Friday off from work I'm NOT going to a midnight showing). Will I see it multiple times? Depends on how good it is. How much "fixing" JJ does. We shall see.

I'm really surprised they haven't decided to split episode 9 into 2 films. That seems to be the "thing" to do like with the Twilight series, Harry Potter, etc. I hope they don't, I'm just surprised it hasn't happened. Anyone else?

I'm surprised too, especially after they (Disney) also did it with Infinity War and Endgame. Hopefully the trend of "Parts 1 and 2" for the final act of a series/story arc is coming to an end. I've never really liked it but it just got ridiculous after it seemed like everyone was doing just to squeeze one more film out (looking at you "Hobbit Trilogy").

No, I'm glad they didn't. It would ruin the beginning trilogy, middle trilogy and ending trilogy. It would simply not be a trilogy anymore.
