    I like this idea.

According to the movie novelization, the death of Han Solo didnĀ“t achieved the desired effect, which Kylo Ren wanted. He even felt more torn apart.
Perhaps he will dream how he kills his father over and over again. This makes him emotionally unstable/crazy.

It would be a great twist because Anakin dreamed of things that would eventually happen where as Kylo will dream about things that already happened. Anakin wanted to do anything to save Padme. What will Kylo do to get rid of those dreams?

Han's decision along with the kindness and love he wordlessly expressed to Kylo on that bridge, touching the face of his son one last time, will be firm in Ben's mind no matter how hard he tries to deny it.

It would be interesting if his mother, Leia, could finally get through to him, just as Luke Skywalker was able to appeal to, reach, and help bring back his father Anakin:

    From Return of the Jedi:

Luke: Search your feelings, Father, you can't do this. I feel the conflict within you. Let go of your hate.

    From Episode VIII or IX:

Leia: Search your feelings, Ben, you can't do this. I feel the conflict within you. Let go of your hate.

Kylo: It's too late for me, mom. Snoke is showing me the true nature of the Force. He's my master now.

Leia: Then my son is truly dead.
Leia could help him break free. I hope she gets a chance, and maybe a chance to confront Snoke with some unexpected Force strength.

Between the haunting memories of Han, his father, and the pleas of his mother, Ben could be brought back from the brink. He needn't succumb to madness and darkness eternally.

It was Luke's love, hope, and compassion that broke through to Vader in the end. Leia has that power too.

I would hope the storytellers were not so desperate and gratuitous as to have Ben/Kylo even consider such a thing.

I feel Leia's character needs to be shown some respect and relevance, and what a great role it could be for her in Episode VIII and IX, besides being the Resistance General she is, to play a prominent part in her son's redemption.

Kylo seems to have gone far enough to trigger such an eventual reversal: what happened with Han, his father, on the bridge did not have the intended effect, and that could be the pivotal point marking Ben's slow return to the Light.

Kylo is passive enough in the shaping of his fate as to be likened to a satellite hurled into space, momentum from expired energy, unable perhaps of his own avail to change his course, but a Jovian class planet such as Jupiter, Saturn, or Neptune, could swing him in an entirely new direction.

Leia has that potential power, to say or do something strong enough to stop Kylo from permanently soaring into an ever colder and darker universe.

    i don't think they will.

if Kylo is further tormented though... i could see Snoke telling him that he won't be free from the Light until he passes his final test... kill Leia. It would set his story up well as we know he would be capable of doing it.

please please please don't let it actually happen though. it couldn't.. could it?

i think viii is going to show us the worst of Kylo Ren. if he's tortured, it's not going to be in a sympathetic way (at least not for the most part).

we've had a glimpse of what Ren does when he's in pain from the fight sequence at the end of TFA: he aggravates and intensifies that pain so that he can block out his feelings. i expect Snoke will have disciplined him sufficiently to not ruminate on his emotional distress. which is going to make him truly awful.

i hope Leia is the one who makes him finally break down. but in a good way.

He already isn't all there, I can believe it, especially since killing Han didn't really help him with the Dark Side, only unbalanced him more.

Doesn't make sense. Like killing your parents and you have it on the paper that you are dark side free? Returning to the light means doing the opposite. But I could see Snoke telling that to Kylo to confuse him even more and to get him to the dark side even more

I feel like it's more likely that he'd be told to kill Leia, but wouldn't be able to bring himself to do it. Especially if she reveals that, even now, she STILL loves him and hasn't fully given up on him.

I agree...I think he will be horribly dark and evil in the next one. I expect him to come back with a vengeance.
