Important Evidence Kylo/Rey are Related

I'm surprised someone hasn't considered Rey being a genetic experiment/clone of Vader or Anakin pre-Vader? It would explain why Rey was able to quickly grasp the Force. It would also side-step the challenge of Luke, the Grandmaster Jedi, of breaking the Jedi Code of having attachments.

And what more epic can a battle between Father/Son than two sides of the same persona? Kylo Ren, full on embracing Darth Vader and the dark-side, vs Rey, embracing Anakin, on the light-side. The Prophecy states Anakin would be bring balance to the Force but clearly that has not happened yet so....

 

I really want to believe that they're not going to go with the obvious in this trilogy, but after confirming the first theory people had (Kylo Ren is a Skywalker) and seeing the point-for-point remake of A New Hope, I really don't think they're going to blow our socks off with a complete twist. Whatever big spoiler we get in Episode 8 will be the most predictable thing imaginable, and I wouldn't be surprised if they try to pass this theory off as that spoiler. =c

 

I thought Rey was already confirmed to be Lukes daughter when Maz says to her the lightsaber she touched was Anakains, Lukes and is now calling to her, as in, calling to the next in the family tree. At that moment Rey knows in her heart she is Lukes daughter but it just isn't mentioned. An argument that could be strengthened by mentioning that Leia "always knew" Luke was her brother.

 

To add (or subtract depending on your point of view) to that is right after when Maz tells Rey whoever dropped her off is not coming back and her dreams lie in the past, but someone else could. Her immediate response is Luke Skywalker. Is it because that's who they're searching after and she wants to meet the legend, or is it because he's family?
Also, if Leia was Rey's mom, that scene where she called her "the girl" to Finn's face would be a little...distant to say the least (when they're talking about the plans to attack Starkiller Base, Leia says that Han told her about "the girl," just in case people needed clarification...)

 

1st off I would like to say im happy to join the cantina! I'm not that into depth with SW, just the movies and tv shows Ive followed for now. What I think about Kylo and Rey in Episode VII is that:
They are related. Rey is Luke's daughter and of course Kylo is Leia/Hans son. Luke couldnt restore the Jedi like they said he was doing and searching in the movie and that Luke had no choice to save Rey(from the visions she had). I think Luke knows she could be "there is another..." force sensitive child that Yoda(bring back the OG movie) said there is. Rey calling to the lightsaber to which it has meaning to luke and anakin just makes it seem like they are connected in some way. hearing Obi Won and Yoda voice in the vision only refers them to Luke and Anakin. Rey is scared cause the force is overwhelming her and she controls it by meditating like yoda and Qui Gon did during the mindreading and fight scene. They left her on the Jakku which is like tatooine is to Anakin and luke. So nobody couldnt find her. Just my view on this situation. I need to watch it for the second time cause of all the excitment from just seeing it. can't wait to write more. may the force be with you all...

 

The scene where Kylo hands over his lightsaber to his father is paralleled at the end when Rey tries to hand over the saber to Luke . Another hint among many.

Han is straight away willing to take it and suffers gravely for it but Luke just stand there starring at Rey which is quite mysterious . Did he see what happened to Han in a vision? It looks like he has been crying when Rey finds him.

 

I think Luke sees Rey's mother when he turns and sees Rey standing there holding out the light saber. She definitely looks like his mother, Padme, but I am willing to bet if Rey is his daughter, that she looks just like her mother....Just a thought.

 

I believe if Rey is Luke's daughter then he didn't know she is still alive. He thinks she is dead like the rest of those killed at the academy.

 

I think Luke knows about Hans death yes. And I think when Starkiller hit the planets he also felt like millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. That must have done something with him.

 

The largest piece of evidence for me is Rey's force vision. It began in Bespin, played snippets of Vader, Yoda and Luke's, "Noooo!!!" Then it showed the fall of academy, Rey's semi-forgotten origin and finally her destiny of confronting Ben. The entire thing seemed to be about the Skywalker legacy and her place within it, not the plot of TFA, not her destiny to be a Jedi. Showing Bespin—the place where Luke learned of his heritage and the burdens it carries—made the vision about being a Skywalker, as far as I can tell.

Everything else, and everyone else, reinforced this opinion for me. Though I think Kylo ditched her on Jakku (unable to kill her during the academy massacre) and everyone else thought she was dead. I honestly can't imagine Luke giving his daughter to anyone else for any reason, especially since she would have been safer with him during the exile. I think he believed her to be dead (much as Vader believed Luke to have died with Padme), at least until the Force's awakening.

 

Next time you watch it, pay attention to his right arm. She swings the saber at the end of the fight and you can see it go through his wrist followed by the lightsaber turning off and something falling to the ground, then she brings it upward and cuts his face.

I never thought about this, good catch.

 

Will be looking again as closely as possible cause I wondered about that.

 

After the cut to his face he lifts himself and he has two hands. What fell to the ground was a part of cloth from his cloak. I'm pretty sure about this. It would have been brought way closer to the camera if his hand got cut off.

I think he didn't catch a lot of sleep all these years (eyes were red underneath), possibly had a lot of nightmares about the killing of his padawans, losing his daughter and his failure with Ben Solo.

 

His hands are never actually seen from the cut on. Kinda lame if it's just the cloak, and if that's the case what happened with the lightsaber? Am I to believe the cloak got cut and the lightsaber got cut, but his hand didn't? I don't think you'd manage that.

 

They have both shown great skill in wielding a lightsaber that has tasted the blood of Jedi younglings. Only a Skywalker can do that with such prowess.

 

I think evil Rey would be bad ass! That's just my opinion.

 

Same here. They are throwing darts in all different directions.

 

I def think they are related.. its heavily hinted at..... Im just wondering if they are going to have them kiss in the trilogy before they find out.....

Wow what a difference a year plus makes. Now nobody wants them related.
