    I think the smart way to go about it would be for I5 to pick up weeks/months after I4 and have Shia do a quick cameo to explain his absence from the entire movie and have Indy show his softer side like he's on his honeymoon but can't resist his adventure urge but he inadvertently uncovers a giant conspiracy .

    Like you, I feel that "KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULLS" was just as good as the other three films. However . . . Harrison Ford will be 77 years old by the time the movie hits the theater, which means that he would be 76 during the film's production. If they plan to set this film after "CRYSTAL SKULLS", they might have to find a new Indiana Jones.

    I thought it was better than "INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE". It's odd. Everyone saw the alien ship and quickly dismissed "CRYSTAL SKULL" as trash. I get the feeling that very few people understood that the movie was a take on the "B" movies of the 1950s, which involved atomic energy, the Cold War, psychic abilities and aliens. To demand that a movie set in 1957 be a take on 1930s movie serials strikes me as rather ludicrous.

    I think it's more likely that they'll treat the show as they treated The Clone Wars. Lucasfilm poured lots of resources into it back in the day, and it doesn't really interfere with anything that they'll be working on in the future, so I don't think they'll just go "LOL NON-CANON" with that. The comics and the games are more likely to be given that treatment.

    Yeah if they didn't interfere with the PT then I doubt the young Indy chronicles would be affected canon or not ...

    The PT is different. It's not a side-project. It's every bit as important as the OT as far as the writers are concerned.

    But wouldn't the young Indy be as well for the movies ? I mean you're right that they won't interfere with the movies. But I think that the worst case would be them simply not-acknowledging it .

    Pablo Hidalgo replied to a tweet from me explaining that while they have made no decisions yet as far as what's canon but he believes only the films and Young Indy series will be canon.
