    Sorry just want to make a few final points.


    I didn't say once that Last Jedi has forever ruined my outlook on Star Wars. If anything it has clarified and defined for me what I love about Star Wars, particularly the OT. The ST movies are the antithesis of that for me but it doesn't in any way ruin what Star Wars means to me. As you should know Star Wars in the hearts and minds of it's fans is far bigger than Disney, far more important than a mere franchise. It's extremely cultural, it's mythological, it's spiritual. Not just fictitious space movies!

    Im not directly giving Disney money through this site and furthermore I'm not helping to drive revenue with threads such as "Insulted by Last Jedi? Does Disney deserve anymore of your money after this?" Lol. I wouldn't exactly say my thread is an endorsement for more people to become fans of Disney's Franchise, do you? I'm really not sure why you were stretching for that but you wasted alot of time making such a non point. I've generated a few posts on a thread nothing more.

    You considered merging my thread with "those that hated..." but you didn't. Why should I be grateful for you not tampering with my thread? Don't pigeon hole my thread in the first place!!! Surely that's a given?

    When did I ever say I wouldn't give money to Disney? Well that depends on what they put out in the future. I would never say never. I said that I don't like where they are taking Star Wars and I will watch many non spoiler reviews before I pay to see another Star Wars movie again. As for Ep 9 I won't go because I have lost all interest in this Trilogy. Sue me!

    You didn't say mind your own business, I was paraphrasing. You said "Read to whom and why I was responding (which, wasn't to you)". I know you weren't responding to me you were responding to someone who was sick of seeing my thread on the first page. Rather than apologise to me that you disrespected my contribution to the site you basically said "it wasn't to me" (in other words it was none of my business). It was about my thread so of course it was my business. You didn't need to say sorry that my thread was on here did you? You knew I was going to read it so in my opinion you're the troll. No matter that it wasn't directed at me you knew I was going to read it. It was bait! I like the way you switched it around on me, very clever.

    I appreciate your concern but my problem isn't with moderator(s) it's with one in particular and I think if you look at what he is doing I would expect you to have a word with him too. Anyway thank you for taking the time with me. Its good to see how the majority of moderators on here know how to welcome members on here and be civil even if they disagree with their views. I can only say I'll put a stop to the squabbling if he will. Lets see what what he puts on here next. I have a feeling I might just leave anyway. Up until recently I think you'll find I've been very civilised with my interactions with people but one moderator in particular has decided to really brush me up the wrong way and I won't take that.

It's your choice to criticize, to scrutinize, to applaud, to agree, or whatever.     If your rules are to disrespect and insult members (you are only judging my posts not trevor's) If your rules are to patronise and tell it's members that being positive about the ST is an appropriate way to cultivate harmony on the site (In other words to tell it's members the right way to think) then really what sort of site is this?

    I critique Disney a lot, but the real problem is LFL. Marvel and Pixar do great work, so why has SW been so mediocre so far? The obvious reason is that Lucas is hard to replace. JJ and Rian are not adequate replacements. They are not visionaries, even flawed visionaries like GL. And the Story Group? Glorified Wookiepedists.

    I hate to say it, but Filoni would have crafted a better ST than this, and I think he's done a lousy job with Rebels.

    We need a new Lucas, but how do you find them?

    Its strange how everyother moderator's response to what I am saying is remarkably restrained except the one moderator that decided to throw your rules out of the window. Yes very interesting indeed. I guess corruption can exist in any power structure including the 1030th. I particular like how the moderator in question sees himself as a Jedi and yet uses a stormtrooper GIF to move me along. He seems to be sending out mixed messages. If you really believe in your rules as moderators you really need to call him out otherwise what integrity do you have? I'm still waiting for my account to be removed....

    It was made a public affair when Trevor made that disparraging comment about my thread on my thread! The reason my issue with the moderators came to light is because I hadn't had such an issue with Star Wars before TLJ. It would seem if you put up threads such as this you will unfairly come up against criticism from certain staff members. As it was illustrated to me quite clearly by one of your staff members, if you have a problem with one member of your team then apparently you have a problem with the whole team! Again it doesn't create a very positive relationship between the members and the team if that is your collective attitude. Nothing has been set right in my opinion. No apology from Trevor has yet been forth coming so I haven't any real alternative other than my wish to be removed from this site.

    For anyone that feels I have belittled them on this thread I am truly sorry.

    That isn't how the movie industry works. Success is a function of how a movie performs relative to how it was expected to perform.

    The value of the Star Wars brand has arguably gone down. They can expect further dropoff for E9, and an underperforming movie hurts down the line when it comes to merchandising and licensing.

    Don't get me wrong; they're still making money. But in their private board meetings, Disney is not calling TLJ "a success."

    This does nothing but demonstrate that Star Wars fans liked a Star Wars movie more than the general population did. Hardly a significant observation.
