She is TOO GREEN to have her INTERROGATION EXPECTATIONS SUBVERTED in such a STUCK UP, HIGH CLASS, UPTIGHT MANNER!



MISSY: "Seriously, my mentor would have a field day with this entire ship. It's embarrassingly poor craftsmanship, it is!"
TINK: "It's an outlaw ship."
MISSY: "That's no excuse! I'm an outlaw, too!"

TINK: "I fail to see how this explains you slamming me into the fridge! I thought we were business partners."
MISSY: "I'm just here for one reason and one reason alone, "partner". I'm heading to Corellia."
TINK: "But this ship is leaving for Arkanis?"

MISSY: "Hence the part where I tied you up. Now, this can play out any number of ways, and I'm not feeling particularly squeamish about any of those. It all really depends if I can trust you."
TINK: "I'll do it! No sense being this extreme about it!"



MISSY: "Somehow, you seem too eager about it."

You are now faced with a SHADE of THREE DIFFERENT WAYS to HANDLE your situation. All three are PERFECTLY VALID, but each has their REPERCUSSIONS for the future.

You can UNTIE TINK and put your TRUST into her to HELP YOU OUT. In this scenario, you will ATTEMPT to REROUTE the SHIP'S TRAJECTORY in the CIVILIZED and DIPLOMATIC WAY.

You can TAKE TINK HOSTAGE and use her as LEVERAGE against the REST of the CREWMATES. This is a HOSTILE APPROACH, as you will directly be facing the rest of the CREWMATES, but you may still have TINK alive by the end of it.

You can also KILL TINK and try to AMBUSH the rest of the CREW, thereby SEIZING COMPLETE CONTROL of the SHIP. By far, this is the most FORWARD PATH yet also one where you might find yourself PILOTING a LARGE SHIP on your own straight for a WARZONE.

This decision will have major ramifications on Missy's psyche in Act II.

They're seriously my weakest point. I'd like to avoid them whenever possible.

This didn't make the cut, but I did hastily slap a certain helmet in the inventory screen. I'll just automatically do it after the next update cycle.

You're not a COLD-BLOODED MURDERESS! Sure, you've killed a couple of PEOPLE here and there, but it was ALWAYS in SELF-DEFENSE. Except for SIMON. BECAUSE KRIFF SIMON.

You TRY to be a BIG DAMN HERO like all the other DUMB OUTLAWS with a HEART OF GOLD secretly aspire to be, but REALITY slaps you back to... to REALITY! Yes, because suddenly TINK tells you a SOB STORY of the UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES that brought her on this VOYAGE and life of PETTY CRIME.

It appears that she was the PRODUCT of a SENATOR and JEDI MASTER mingling when they SHOULDN'T HAVE, and as a result of her MOTHER'S CONFLICTING CELIBACY VOWS, TINK was left on the STREETS of CORUSCANT as an EFFECTIVE ORPHAN. When the war was brought to CORUSCANT nearly FIVE YEARS AGO, so too did TINK'S TIME there come to an END. Ever since then, she's been stuck doing LOW-PAYING SLICER JOBS throughout the MID and OUTER RIM.



You UNTIE TINK and EXPLAIN to her the PLAN. Since you now have a BETTER UNDERSTANDING of her CHARACTER, you figure she's TRUSTWORTHY ENOUGH to join you in your QUEST to REACH CORELLIA.

Of course, her GREENNESS and INNOCENCE could all be a PLOY to get an ADVANTAGE over you and take REVENGE for slamming her into the FRIDGE, but the ODDS of such a SCENARIO are TOO RAILROADED for your TASTES. After all, it would almost certainly render your CHOICES as those that DO NOT MATTER, and we know a HIGH-CLASS WOMAN SPOILED SOCIALITE like yourself DESERVES DEMANDS BETTER!



Speaking of DEMANDS, you have gained an UNWANTED and UNWARRANTED LEVEL UP!

Because the AUTHOR is just that much LAZY in actually MOVING the PLOT FORWARD that he has to RESORT to these BUDGET RPG ELEMENTS from time to time.



You are now a LEVEL 8 SCOUNDREL, because every PROTAGONIST needs to KEEP UP with STAN THE MAN. We can't have any FAVORITISM going on here, no sir! FAVORITISM has LITTLE to do with the FACT that you've been SURPRISINGLY COMPETENT in this CHAPTER, right?
