I expect this means that the padawan is going to be a recurring character? At least as Saber's rival? He's going to misunderstand the whole situation and think Saber killed his master in cold blood! Poor Saber is probably going to end up beating himself up about it. It's good writing, I love it! I can't wait to see where that goes next.

And the Snote stuff? Hyped. He gets an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor!

When he turned to face the crowd and called out the isolationist bantha poodoo of the Ascendancy, I got epic chills. If I'm not mistaken, Chiss don't like the Force? That makes Snote a pariah in his society, which I like as it was a pleasant surprise. I was under the impression that he was calling all the shots back in Act 1, but it seems he's been flawlessly setting things in place to gain more control over the government back home? All for a Republic alliance? What's up with that?

WE NEED TO DIG DEEPER IN THE SUBTEXT.

As for what to do: GO SNEAK UP on CANCEROUS ORDO and DEMAND he PAYS you SOMETHING BETTER than that TWI'LEK STRIPPER for your HELP in the SIEGE of GRABBA'S PALACE! SOMETHING TANGIBLE like HONOURE™ which is TOTALLY NOT an UNRELIABLE FIAT CURRENCY of the MANDALORIANS.

I just feel like Thrawn isn't being used to his full potential in the new canon.

I predict he will be consoled by the Jedi Code, come quickly to terms of acceptance with his Mistress' death, and thereby attune greatly to the Force. He will return to argue at length with Saber regarding the pros and cons of the opposing codes of the Jedi and Sith, eschewing vengeance for discourse and peaceful solutions. Because no padawan has ever given into their anger at their teacher's death. They have all been taught well and actually follow their code.

As much as I want to see this, I do like that it looks like it won't just be a basic revenge story. We're not focusing on the victim, but the perpetrator this time and the perpetrator is filled with regret instead of pride + it's not the classical kill as a crime but more of an honor deal between two warriors.

Probably the most interesting thing here is that this is Darth freakin' Saber we're talking about.
