Is anyone actually hyped for this movie?

Everyone I talk to... its like.. oh... that's interesting. None of them are clamoring to go run out and see it. Its weird, as you're supposed to be climbing the walls waiting for these new movies. Not anymore.

The Lost Jedi I was hyped for, and man did that blow.

Infinity War I was hyped for(I won't go into spoilers), and saw it last night and it delivered.

Even seeing the Solo Trailer before it.. I simply couldn't feel any level of hype... and it was weird being so close to a new SW movie(released in May no less!), and there being no overwhelming need to go see it.

The closer this movie comes the more I'm getting hyped for it. The Last Jedi is kinda a reason why I'm hyped for Solo too. I want a fun adventure with no huge messages and expectations to meet. The trailers look great so far and I realy like the western vibe. So, I'm looking forward to this movie especially because for the first time I can watch a Star Wars movie with a big fan like me. Isn't that right, @RockyRoadHux? :3

Im just gonna say while i didn't demand a Solo film I'd rather get 1 then not. After TLJ i'm prepared for more disappointment.

Yes, I am! When the movie was announced, I thought "Meh. Will watch it, of course, but nothing to look forward to." All I wanted were some Falcon scenes, any amount of fan service and self-referencing the director(s) wanted, and plenty of Chewie.
The trailers make the Falcon look totally interesting and give it some backstory, Chewie seems to feature heavily, and the Kessel Run was mentioned. So far, so good. But then the unexpected happened: the trailers looked fantastic! The vibe, Lando, Elthree, ... I'm not sure what it is, but this really looks like a fun Star Wars movie. Obviously, most trailers look good, and some are more enjoyable than the movie they're promoting, but with reasonable expectations going into Solo, I have a really good feeling about not being disappointed.

Yes, ever since they fired Lord and Miller I have slowly become more and more excited for the movie. Ron Howard teased just a little bit every so often and everything that came out started to sound better. The Last Jedi was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a movie theater and my excitement for this did suffer but the trailers that came out actually rectified my fears. "Cautiously optimistic" is the best way to describe how I feel about SOLO.

No, I am not...but...I was not hyped for Rogue One and my experience in the movie theater was amazing! Seeing Tarkin, Vader and Leia at the end was something beatiful and magical.
So, I just hope Solo surprise me too with a good experience.

I am acrually pretty excited, I must say. Episode IX is definitely higher on my hype list, but I want to see Solo.

On a scale of 1-10? I'm a 6 on the hype meter. I'm probably gonna see though. In my experience, low exceptations can do wonderous things. I'm the most excited though for seeing the card game.

I started a solid "meh" in January but everything I have seen in teasers/trailers, read about on twitter and SWNN, heard from Ron Howard and Alden E and the other actors, has increased my anticipation tremendously. I will get opening night tix.

I'm not hyped for this movie and pretty much ignore it. Most of my German colleagues and friends do the same. I will watch Infinity War instead in May 1 or 2 times.

I am checking my close-by theater every day to see if they started selling tickets for the opening night (since they already started selling them for Deadpool 2 opening). I'm sure that pretty much answers your question.

I love everything I've seen so far, and also the talents involved in Solo:aSWs, so yeah, I'm super hyped for this! (falcon)

This film looks like it will expand the lore and culture of Star Wars, and explore some interesting new sides to the galaxy far, far away, and it will do so with an incredible growing-up story teamed with a heist plot and Space Western shenanigans! Should this film deliver, (and I have seen nothing to indicate it won't), then Solo just might become my new favorite SW movie :D

So yeah, VERY hyped indeed, Mr. @ScumAndVillainy ;)

And finally, here's an awkward Han & Lando picture for ya'll, just for fun (lando)(han)

I'm excited for it, I think it's gonna be great, but I can't say I'm pumped the way I was for the last 3 films. In those cases (especially TLJ) I was thinking about the movie all the time, whereas now I'm totally relaxed.

It's weird. The main reason must be the fact that it's not a premise I've ever wanted to see on the big screen + it's the smallest scale Star Wars film ever. It's also coming out very soon after the last one, so the buildup is not the same.

But this doesn't mean my experience won't be stellar, I think it could very well be, especially since I think the footage we've seen is great.

I was hyped and emotionally invested in The Last Jedi and it exceded my expectations.

I am interested in Solo, but not emotionally invested....

Yes, I am. It's Star Wars. Few things make me so invested.
I'll admit this one is the less hyped one, but there are many reasons for it.
1- It's the 4th in a row. The novelty isn't there as much.
2- We just had one of them just a few months ago.
3- I wasn't particularly interested in the premise since its announcement, but I'll admit everything we've seen looks promising.
4- The fandom negativity over the last few projects doesn't make it that fun to be a part of the community anymore. It's like a good portion of the fandom want Star Wars to fail. And negativity is contagious.

Perhaps I can compare my interest in Solo best with when a new star wars game is coming out. I look forward to it, want to be informed about its release and definitely want to play. I hope to love it so much that I keep playing it, but wouldn't be bummed out if I had some fun and then just left it right there.
