Is anyone more excited for a Solo sequel than Episode 9?

I never thought I'd say this since I've been looking forward to seeing the completion of the "trilogy of trilogies" at Episode 9 my entire life, but TLJ kinda wrapped up/dismissed all the story lines I was most interested in and Solo introduced many things I'd love to see: Han working for Jabba, Han possibly working against Qi-ra in Crimson Dawn and the complications/betrayals that will arise, seeing Alden, Chewie and Donald Glover on screen again, seeing Darth Maul head a crime syndicate (while I wasn't initially thrilled with his return from the grave, I do see lots of potential in his life of crime)....

It's really bothering me that this may be the last we see of Solo. Episode 9 is a given, but I just don't see a lot of potential there for interesting stories. I truly hope I'm wrong.

Also....if Disney really is doing the MCU approach of having characters cross over into other movies, I'd be satisfied if the Boba Fett movie had substantial amounts of screen time for the Solo crew. I can't really see how that would be possible in an Obi Wan movie at all....not to mention the current fears that Disney may be reconsidering prequels now that some columnists seem convinced that nobody wants old characters anymore (I STRONGLY disagree).

Yes. Without a shadow of a doubt. I wish it were otherwise but I have lost faith in the ST, no one will be happier if IX is good than me but at this point I simply cannot get excited. Who knows, maybe once we start to get actual info about it that'll change but with how TLJ went I just can't see myself getting excited.

Solo film made solid foundation for seuqel. Problem is of course will Disney find such movie to be profitable after what happens with its box office which is sad, despite I know the reasons its still unbelievebale.Such good film.
I would like sequel of Solo to happen.

Ep IX I anticipate to of course but with cramps in my stomach.I have nightmares of J.J Ambrams, Kennedy, them butchering Star Wars legacy definitely, confirming Rey random, Reylo, not bringing back Luke, is short death of Star Wars and in a way my personal death as Star wars fan to.

So Solo2 I expect and hope, with ease and joy.

Ep IX I wait to find the destiny of all of it.

How excited one could be for a movie that is more than a year away, nobody knows what it's gonna be about and hasn't even started filming yet? Instead of keeping the "I'm not excited, I'm not excited, I'm not excited..." line of thinking, I would suggest waiting for at least some info on Ep.IX.

No, I'm not more excited for a Solo movie because I'm much more invested in the characters of EPIX. Especially the dynamic between Kylo and Hux. Even though I really liked Han and Beckett, I don't need to see them in a sequel.

this going to end in tragedy. Star Wars is just going to break my heart one way or another, i swear.

i am all down for more Han in the EU, but i keep hoping we'll move forward post ROTJ; there's 30 years in there worth exploring.

I'm excited with how they will end the trilogy and nervous as well. I can't wait. As for Solo sequels, I'd love them. I'm sure they would be a lot of fun. MORE STAR WARS is what it's all about to me.

I am not excited about EPIX because as of now, there is no EPIX. Once the shooting starts, the things will be different. We have 19 months to go until it's released, a good time to build the excitement. What I love the most about it is that, for probably the first time, we have no idea where the story is going. That alone is exciting for me. But with no casting news, no BTS pictures, nothing - it's hard to get excited right now.

I would have loved Solo sequels but, unfortunately, I can't see them happening. I hoped for at least lose trilogy - with Han being in Boba Fett movie and Boba Fett, maybe, being in Kenobi movie.

I couldn't care less about Episode 9. I have no interest in a sequel to the classic films that doesn't have Han, Luke or Leia in it. Does anyone except the most diehard of fans really care about Rey, Finn, Rose, Poe etc? Episode 9 (and the sequel trilogy in general) is such a missed oppritunity...Thanks Last Jedi for screwing up the greatest series in the history of film.

At least if there is a sequel to Solo we could see the continuation of characters (Han, Lando, Chewie etc) that we actually care about. Bring on Solo part II and for all I care just cancel EP 9.

In the end it's just a movie and villains die or get defeated in movies.

The only thing I'm interested in during this time period: Luke and Ben.

But I finally want new stories.

and sometimes it's a tragedy and i weep like a little girl watching Luke say goodbye to his father.

i also kinda don't want to know at this point; like just leave it there as an endless tantalizing mystery.

ultimately i want new stuff too, but to be honest, the less Force mumbo jumbo the better. i know i'm sort of the outlier in this, but Star Wars was always about the people and their struggle to me; not magic powers and super weapons. : D

I am not a Star Wars "fan" and I actually do care about what happens to Rey, Poe and Kylo Ren (not so much about Finn and Rose). And I do believe that the franchise should move away from the OT3 into new and different things. Like in the current comics, where the most fun and interesting one is Doctor Aphra, while the most boring and repetitive is the one about Luke, Han and Leia (Star Wars).

Quoting Taika Waititi from his interview for Ragnarok: "Sorry mom and dad, I'm not JJ Abrams..." and I trust that guy (not Taika, but the other one), and actually have hope he will impress us all. Just watched this "Incredible piece of art" (Solo) an hour ago for the second time and let me say if I did scoring from best to worse SW movie, Solo would be on the top - best ever made on my opinion (no offence TLJ fans), and I definitely want Solo or whatever Obi Wan - Bobba Fett - Jabba - Greedo - banthas - "Utini!" crossover. SOLD!

aha, same applies for me, thanks!

Naaah, mate, we will at least have other type of media for those stories to be told, but YAAAS, bring me Solo and Wookie. Really hyped, absolutely more than about IX

Yes. The very end of Solo give us more interesting sequel material than anything from E9.
