    Alright, bear with me.

I just posted "Leia the White" in the EPIX forum, and it got me thinking.

In a world of cloning machines 60 years past and tech moving steadily forward, could versions of Han, Leia and Luke come back?

Alright, alright.. I'm not saying they will, just a thought I'm running with tonight.

Go read Leia the White, then come back.

Then lets say Luke comes back, it doesn't have to be in EPIX, but he comes back younger (Sebastian Stan) and then going on the Leia the White theory, she kept some DNA and the actor in "Solo" comes back as Han (depending on how well that movie does I guess) and then going with the idea from Leia the White, Carrie's daughter reprises a younger cloned or revitalized version of Leia. (I'm horrible with actors names, I apologize)

    BAM!

    The OT 3 are back.

Not saying it all has to happen at once. It could be layered. Leia comes back in IX to finish off that story as close to how it was meant to be (with Leia taking a central role). Luke can come back in a movie later, or maybe he's cloned by a bad guy (that hand is kicking around) and he's attempted to be corrupted. Leia brings back Han out of sorrow of the love of her life.

I know a lot of fans love the ST, but this would really help (I think) many fans who had issues with it. So I guess my question would be, how would you feel about this?

They can kind of shelf it and keep it in mind if Rey, Finn and Poe don't work out (or are not working out as well as they'd hoped). A back up plan. I think for those fans who don't like Rey too much, having Leia helping her start the Jedi would help.

Or even have both trios running their own movies within the same time line, occasionally interdicting. Mix and matching.

Edit: My mind is racing at the possibilities.

We could get a version of the Thrawn trilogy.

    Think about it.

Luke clone is back (let's leave out Luuke though, okay? Maybe Kylo can be a more compelling Luuke/C'Baoth) and takes on his role. Han is Han, Leia is Leia (they could even have kids again). Rey can fill in for Mara (@McDiarmid assuming she isn't his daughter :D), Poe for Wedge. Finn I'm not sure, maybe a different angle (I thought of Lando, but that doesn't fit and sounds wrong in more than one way... looking at you Winston in Stranger Things lol), a leader of ground troops? A very different take on Karrde? Maybe searching for that lost Dreadnaught fleet (Shades of Lando, I know, but he could do it with Rose instead of Luke... that aspect needs work lol).

I wouldn't want a total copy anyways. Just having a Thrawn trilogy would be awesome.

Oh, and this means EPIX goes dark, Rey joins Kylo and the bad guys win... until the OT turns Rey back.

Ahh, dreams. I know, it'll never happen, but a fan can geek out and hope, can't he?

"Let the past die. Kill it if you have too. That's the only way to become what you're meant to be." - Kylo Ren

Rian Johnson uses almost every piece of dialog to talk with the audience. It's time to let old stuff go, especially the nostalgia. The story won't be better because the OT is back, it would actually be worse. More characters are almost worse. Just look at Infinity War, so many characters who are suffering from the small amount of screentime.
Furthermore recasting the OT (in this way) would create alot of hate. "There is only one true Luke!"

But it doesn't really matter anyway because EPIX will be the last Skywalker movie for a long time.

Please no as @NinjaRen already stated. Plus, it'd ruin the sacrifices that those three have made with their five movies, so please no.

The franchise would stale and rot if it keeps relying on the OT3 forever. So yeah, Luke, Han, Leia, you've had a good run, thanks for everything, but it's time to move on.

At least they didn't just die of old age and boringness (like, a great part of the fanbase apparently wants). Han and Luke's deaths have saga-wide repercussions now.

    No.

I'm all for recasting both to go back and tell other stories like Solo or to fill in between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens as well as to continue to tell the story moving forward.

What I don't like is most clone end around in order to refuse to movie the story beyond some characters artificially.

I'm good with recasting as the tale dictates even if it's just to use a force ghost much less a living character but the galaxy must move on as well.
