SPECULATION Is Luke Rey's Father? - The Evidence For and Against

I think that the idea they had met before springs from his instant frustration about a girl from Jakku and later "it is you."

There are several possibilities but one is that in some capacity that he is concered at the mention of a girl from Jakku and then recognizes her.

 

I'm wondering if that was the intention before they messed up the timeline in the book. Now I just see it as, Light and Dark seeking each other out. Now with this Chosen One talk, his "it is you" sounds to me like he's realizing she's the one Luke was seeking and why Anakin's saber chose her.

 

have they seen each other in their dreams? or are you saying that you think they have?

just to stray near the thread topic... so is dreaming of each other evidence that lil Padme (ok Rey) is a Skywalker? or that she isn't?

I have no idea. I'm just thinking since he's the shadow she dreams about, maybe he saw her too or he was given a Force vision of her when he had Anakin's saber.

 

i've been in that club so long... there is a statue of me outside the entrance

that's an interesting idea. Ben getting the saber when he was younger and getting a weird force back would be.. fascinating.

The way he points out to Finn that it belongs to him, and Han's horrified reaction to it, I just feel Ben held it once. Maybe that's why Luke thought he was Chosen because it showed him things and he told Luke, so when Rey shows up, he realizes she's the girl. With all this talk of Force secrets and such, Rey Nobody is looking more likely every day.

love all this. just not sure how they retcon this all on screen... would it all be done in a novel and only minor details given in the movie?

it's posts like this that encourage @master_shaitan. now whilst he's a dear friend, (don't tell him i said that) he doesn't need any helpers with this silly Rey Random stuff. pfft lol

 

The new Luke novel might explain stuff. Maz is also going to tell us what happened too it seems.

i don't think her real name is Rey.. so there is some leeway there me thinks

it seems to have swung that way marginally in the last few months.

it has been a long time since i 'fought' for her to be Luke's daughter, although i still think it's possible.

with all the hype about it.. i just hope that her story (going forward) is a bloody good one, no matter what blood flows through her veins.
