    Now forget the Darth Plagueis Theory. Who is Snoke?
    Could he be a Sith Lord that was biding his time?
    Did he abolish the Rule of Two?

    My Theory Is: I think he is Darth Plagueis...but that is not the theory.

    I think that after Palpatine's failed kill...he went into hiding. Knowing, that an apprentice would kill Palpatine. Luckily for him, both were killed. The Master and The Apprentice. So he then steps out and begins HIS plans and starts the remnants and very beginning of TFO. Could he be a Sith? I think so. What do you think?

    I don't think so. I even have this weird inkling he can't really *use* the force as such. It's just Han Solo's line to Ben stating that Snoke was just using him for his power. Surely his power is the use of the force?

    Okay, but when he stands up and shouts "GENERAL!" Hux did not look back at him and shout "SNOKE!" Why? Because Hux knew what he would get if he treated Snoke like a (pushover). Even look at his face when Snoke shouts at him. (You are damn right you will never see Hux more fearful than that.)

    How many times do we have to have it confirmed that Snoke is NOT Plagueis, and that Snoke is NOT a Sith, before people shut up about it?

    Don't be pessimistic about it. This is just my theory, I am allowed to have it. Sorry if this is offensive to ANYONE. They said the same thing about Vader and Luke..."Oh they're not related...we're confirming it." It's better to try and discuss something that has the slightest of possibility than to dismiss it as nothing. Lucasfilm has misled people before. ;)

    Big Bad Snoke! He knows the Force and felt the awakening for sure. Wtf is he? Looks similar to a Kaminoan with the black eyes and pale skin. They're described as having fins on top of their heads. Maybe they made a weird clone of themselves with added midi-chlorians.

    uhh, when did anyone at Lucasfilm confirm that Vader and Luke aren't related? that sounds like an erroneous assertion, to me...

    at any rate, it's been confirmed that no Sith are in TFA.

    as for Snoke being older than the Sith, that's surely speculation. i haven't heard any canon mentions of him being older than the Sith. he may well have been alive during the Clone Wars, but as far as i know there's no evidence of him being over a 1000 years old.

    I think he means when fans were speculating after ANH if they were father and son. Even though the director of ROTJ said it once in a Starburst interview.

    I am pretty confident that JJ Abrams said multiple times that Snoke is definitely not a Sith.

    I feel like he might be an ancient "sith" perhaps from the times of Darth Bane and he secretly survived and has been planning his return in the unknown regions. Or I could see him being something from before the sith, an earlier practitioner of the dark side, maybe calling themselves the "Bogun" or "Bogun-Sith" which would have evolved into just the "Sith"

    I think Snoke is from the Unknown Regions. The New EU has been setting it up as an important place, with Palpatine sensing that the origin of the darkside is there.

    My one question is whether or not Snoke originated in the GFFA and then went to the Unknown Regions, or if he's actually from there to begin with.

    Everything we know at this point tells us that Snoke is not a Sith or Plagueis either. It's possible everyone is lying, but I don't believe in proceeding as though everything is a conspiracy to hide the truth.

    One of the untenable assumptions made by Plagueis fans is that JJ, Kasdan, and Johnson are somehow big Plagueis fans, but Johnson has pointed out that he didn't even think about the Legends EU because it had just been decanonized when he came aboard. And I don't know why anyone would assume Kasdan has read a page of Legends. JJ is a bit different because he was apparently a big Darth Revan fan, and we can see how that influenced (I assume) Kylo Ren's design. But again it's doubtful that JJ read the Plagueis novel; I'm sure he's a bit busy for that.

    If someone had evidence that the ST writers were huge Plagueis fans, then maybe the theory would make sense. But there's never been a shred of evidence for that, so it's much more likely that they just cooked Snoke up on their own.

    This is just something I wanted to post to everyone...I didn't expect to be barraged by some people on the fact that Lucasfilm said this and that. I don't care. I just wanted to speculate with OUR minds and not others'.

    The others could be misleading you.

    I'll just add here that while I know the Plagueis novel is no longer Canon, in the book, he was pretty hell bent on changing the rule of two and felt the Sith needed to evolve, much like Luke Skywalker seems to believe the Jedi need to evolve. The parallels cannot go un-noticed.

    The Plagueis rumor was one of the earliest rumors - I believe it originated on this site. More often than not, those are the rumors that end up being true.

    I wish Lucas would write a book about his full vision of the SW universe. It would all be non-canon, but damn that would be a great read.
