Ian Doescher announced his series of Star Wars and Shakespeare mashups will continue. Announcing the release date for ‘Jedi the Last’. We also got to see the cover which as always looks amazing and has a Shakespeare old vibe but also colourful and detailed. This book is an adaption of the Last Jedi. Who would of guessed it. The release date is set for July 10th 2018. The cover shows Luke wearing a Elizabethan era style suit under his Jedi robes. I thought this was a nice addition and just connects it just that little bit more. The little gold icons of a ski speeder and a AT-M6 look great too an nice little tie in addition.

Ian has created all of the Star Wars films into his own spin in a Shakespeare style (apart from Rogue One). I’m not a huge fan of Shakespeare but these books are quite funny and a nice addition to anyone’s book collection. The writing can be a little hard in areas but that is Shakespeare’s old English writing style. Even if your not a huge Shakespeare fan you’ll love these takes on the films. They are thoroughly entertaining. These books are fairly short around 176 pages. They incorporate the main events and cut out the rambling which is nice for a change. The books are all hardcover and come with a beautifully artistic Star Wars meets Elizabethan era style. I have enjoyed all of his books and I cherish them on my book shelf. who would of thought Shakespeare and Star Wars would ever combine. Well I didn’t until I got recommended these by a friend. Ps Yoda is the funniest when his speech is changed to shakesperian.

Here are the covers from the Shakespeare style Star Wars novels.
