OK I don't know what I was doing in 2008 and have no earthly idea how I missed the fantastic 7 part series on John Adams. Paul Giamatti is amazing, simply superb. I am a student of the American Revolution and this is just fantastic. My 16 yr old son and I watched in awe, Adams would do or say something and my son would say "yeah, we just learned about that...!!"

I've gotta pick this up on Blu Ray.

@KeithF1138 If you can pick up a DVD copy, I highly recommend the 1984 miniseries George Washington, with Barry Bostwick. The DVD is not high quality as it was not recorded digitally, it is a copy of a VHS. But the series is well done. My fave portrayal of Washington, Bostwick did superb.

History channel just put out a new Washington mini-series as well. On the list to watch.

The one that the The History Channel just did is really good. It's been a while since I had a history lesson about George Washington but I felt like they did a very good job separating facts from fiction. They even dispelled the myth of his "wooden teeth". The portrayal of his death was kind of disturbing though. It wasn't something that I was expecting for them to show. I'm curious to to see how History Channel is going to do the Ulysses S. Grant mini series that is comming soon.
