Lol. You are so right about the Forrest Gump feel. I think @Pomojema is working up a review for Weapon of a Jedi, Smuggler's Run, and Moving Target. :)

I'm quite sure it won't be translated to Polish faster than after a year or two so I must read it right now in English :D

Where can I buy EPUB or PDF Lost Stars e-book? What is the format on Amazon? And I have one question - I'm quite good at English but as I said - I'm Polish and I'm not perfect, at all. I have to know if it is written in a simple style.

And you are indeed correct! I am looking to have the books read by the end of this weekend and a review put up not to much longer after that.

I just finished the novel and I have to say that I really loved it, it had far more character depth and emotion than I was expecting from a young adult novel. In fact, I think it has now surpassed Dark Disciple as my favorite novel of the new canon. Here's hoping we get to see more of Thane and Ciena in other new canon books as the years go by, I can actually see Thane becoming a relatable character on par with Corran Horn from the EU. While I enjoyed Aftermath well enough, I would definitely recommend this novel over Aftermath to those looking to read a Star Wars novel in the new canon set after RotJ.

Amazon will have it formatted to be read on their devices in kindle format, however they also have a web browser reading option as well. I would say that it is written in a straightforward simple style, so if you have a good overall grasp on English you should be able to understand the story just fine. Also welcome to the Cantina, always nice to meet other Star Wars fans from around the world :)!

I would say the language barrier won't be too difficult. It's written in modern prose which is to say that it is written in the way English is commonly spoken today.
I don't know what's available in your country, but I use Google Play Books. You can purchase a book through the service and read it on your computer, phone, tablet, etc. They are in epub format.

Just in case it wasn't obvious in my review - this is my new favorite as well. :) I agree with you about the Corran Horn comparison. The background is a lot different and Thane is not a force-user, but they are definitely similar characters. I too hope we see more of them. What if we see older versions of the characters serving as Resistance officers in TFA?

I would absolutely love it we saw a glimpse of them in TFA, even for just a moment. Based on how cohesive the new canon seems to be so far, I think there is a pretty good chance that we will see more of these characters in other forms of media, whether it be movies, TV, video games, comics, etc.

Although I haven't finished, I am loving this book. I would put it on par with Splinter of The Minds eye in terms of personal excitement level. Let me clarify that I do not consider SotME to be the height of Star Wars literature, but it does hold a special place in my former 11 year old heart as it was the (only) book we had for a while after Star Wars came out and it was a fertile valley of ideas. I like how Lost Stars is doing this, I spend my days dreaming of the characters and the tie-ins to the main cast.

So far it has been by far my favorite of the new books.

If you have any qualms about buying this book, you should forget them. This book is really REALLY good. Best story of all the new canon so far.

I agree. This book is my favorite in the canon - followed by Dark Disciple and then Lords of the Sith. I read this book first before the other 4 Force Friday books since I was doing a review on it. As I was originally looking forward to it the least at first, when I really got into it I thought, "man, if this book is this good I can't wait to read Aftermath!" Although I didn't hate Aftermath, and I enjoyed the story - I was sorely disappointed. The jr novels were okay, but Lost Stars is just in a league of its own. I wish as a consumer that I read the others first and saved this one for last. I'll probably actually read it again soon, which is rare as I usually don't do re-reads, at least this soon. Excellent novel.

I doubt it. But at the same time I thought that when reading this book.

My guess is that those are her adoptive parents, and not her actual parents.

    Because OT poetry.

The problem I see with the Rey theory is my guess is she is an orphan on Jakku.

But I still like the idea.

I actually did save it for last as I thought it would be the weakest of them all. Boy was I wrong! Looks like you and I share the same favorites in the new Canon. Great time to be a fan!
