Star Wars The Force Awaken have a lot of AWAKING things and maybe is NOT ONLY in the FORCE.Is also in the enemy range too.Watching this movie i have notice that Kylo Ren has some kind of Personal issue with General Hux.Kylo is NOT happy with General Hux FO soldiers.General Hux make Kylo see incompetent in front of Snoke.I think that Hux see Kylo Ren weak.Did you think this is going to be worst between them in the future in the next movie?Did you think that Hux will try to kill Kylo in someway looking for more power from Snoke???
    Thoughts???

No. I think they're rivals for Snoke's attention, but ultimately they're fighting on the same side. The conversation between Hux and Ren about the whether or not to capture or destroy the droid shows that while their motivations diverge a little bit, they are trying to achieve the same thing and need each other in order to do so.

There is definitely a power struggle between the two. You can see it on screen and even moreso in the Novelization, where you can read their thoughts and the narrator is discussing their motives. Hux doesn't like that Kylo gets so much free reign on what he does for Snoke that seems so mystical and irrelevant to the secular matter of military conquest, from Hux's view. And Kylo doesn't think much of Hux's overconfidence in standard military simulation training, like one who has learned a bunch at the academy but doesn't have much field experience. I think the visual dictionary even mentions some of their differences and problems. They both want to see the first order take over and bring a sense of order and strength and justice to the galaxy where they think the new republic is weak and unfocused and lawless, but each man differs in how they think that will get accomplished.

Even though so many people think TFA is just a clone or rehash of ANH, there is far more depth and difference than they realize, including Kylo and Hux's characters. If you notice in the movie or novel, and the visual dictionary mentions this, in both the resistance and first order, there is a great divide in ages. There are the classic characters and older leaders (on both sides), who actually lived through the empire and rebellion war, and the newer trainees and soldiers and up-and-coming leaders who have never seen war and grew up merely hearing the stories. Snoke is the main older leader that we see in the first order, and Kylo and Hux's are so much younger, yet in powerful positions. They are in pretty much the same positions are Vader and Tarkin were in ANH, but those guys were far more experienced and mature and got along so much better personally and professionally, even though they would have had much the same differences in their goals and methods that Kylo and Hux do. And interestingly enough, there is so much in TFA about parents and children (like Han and Kylo, or Rey and Finn looking at Han as a surrogate dad, or Rey waiting for her family and looking for Luke to fill that void, etc), and you can tell that both Hux and Kylo look to Snoke as a mentor father figure and fight and argue and position themselves over and against each other for his approval. It's an awesome dynamic and gets more noticeable each time I see the movie. Same with the resistance and how people look up to Leia and Luke and the older leaders in the room, when you see all the younger officers and pilots around them. Can't wait to see where it all goes from here.

There is so much in the movie about a new generation growing up who never saw the original war between the empire and rebellion (mirroring the new movie fans who didn't grow up watching the originals), and there is a lot in the movie about fandom and cult personalities (like the generation of kids who grew up with the Star Wars movies and are now all fans making these new movies or at least coming to watch them), similar to how Lor San Tekka (old man at the beginning of the movie ) and his village are worshippers in the church of the living force (from the visual dictionary) and the first order being fans of the empire, even making stormtrooper outfits, tie fighters, star destroyers, and a new, bigger Death Star (which is why that plot point/rehash is actually a reinforcing part of the movie's theme), and Kylo and the Knights of Ren being fanboys of Vader and the sith and dark side.

Not to mention guys like Poe not being fans of the new republic's lazy difference to the emerging threat of the first order and getting recruited personally by Leia into the resistance, because it reminds them of what the rebellion was, even Rey the scavenger looking up to Han the legendary smuggler (and others looking up to him as the famous rebellion general. I wonder how many resistance fighters didn't get a lot more confident when the same man who led the Endor mission to deactivate the Death Star's shield generator in ROTJ is volunteering and taking the initiative here!), and so many looking up to Luke as a mystical and famous Jedi. These themes mirror the new generation coming in to see the movie and the fanboy mentality of those making the film and us going to see it. Brilliant stuff. I hope that people will start to see the depth of this thing with more viewings and realize how genius it really is.

One of my running theories that that Ren and Snoke will end up on opposite pages, not because one of them ends up as a good guy, but because they have different motivations and goals. Within that, I image that Hux might end up in opposition to Ren because he sees his job as to carry out Snoke's wishes without question.

I think that Hux thinks he's even better than Snkke himself. That's why he seems frustrated with both Snoke and Kylo. In the future, he will further rub the events of TFA in Kylo's face and he will manipulate Snome .

Kylo has and will have many enemies... not just Hux and Rey and Luke... he's up to galaxy domination for me so even Snoke will become his enemy one day... ;)

Ooh - that could be really interesting and cool if Hux was actually trying to be the puppet master!

Or Hux IS The TRUE puppet master which could make some sense that Domnhall said that there's so much more to Hux and he will tie together everything in the future films .

I've thought this as well. My theory is that Kylo will try and kill Snoke. It may be out of fear, paranoia, or pure anger. I believe that Kylo thinks Vader should have destroyed Palpatine and ruled the Galaxy himself. Kylo may attempt to do just that by killing Snoke.

Or Hux will egg Kylo on to kill Snoke and then Hux will use Kylos's unstableness against him to kill off Kylo before taking over the entire FO but then that will be his own undoing by the end of IX .

Both Kylo and Hux seem like they will rat each other out the first chance they get. I would like to see Hux grow as a military leader. It would be nice to have a hardliner fanatical non-force user as a villain. I'd like to see him during a large scale space battle. He seems like the type that has studied every battle the Empire ever fought and tried to learn from their mistakes.

I think that I read somewhere that the tactics that he uses are the exact same things that his dad used .

i want to see Hux get kicked in the teeth.

i think the dynamic between Hux and Kylo Ren and Snoke is a great storytelling device to get at how unstable and potentially fragile the First Order is in this first film. whether or not they can work out their differences for the good of the Order remains to be seen, but i wouldn't be surprised if they managed to cripple themselves from the inside just for all the petty power-playing.

that said, i honestly wouldn't mind if Snoke got taken out in viii. or at the very least came out from behind the curtain as a real man instead of a holovid cartoon.

The fact that Hux ran all the way down to the conference chamber while Starkiller was imploding only to report to Snoke about the current status and ask whether he could leave makes him quite a badass!

    I'm with Hux!
