Wind River - A subtle but gripping movie. Jeremy Renner was great

Spider-Man:Homecoming - This was better than I expected but I still love Spider-Man 2(Tobey Mguire the best)

I'm slightly torn between seeing this and Justice League, but I'll probably see Ingrid anyway. Also, I've seen Call Me by Your Name and The Florida Project and I must say that the awards season is off to a good start. Both films are good, especially the former one. Great performances, cinematography and a fantastic story. Can't wait to see The Disater Artist in a couple of weeks time.

I'm eager to see The Florida Project. Haven't had the chance yet myself.
I haven't liked as many of the awards movies as I have in the past thus far so hopefully November/December really kick it into overdrive.
The Shape of Water is probably the one I am most excited about as an awards contender.

So, there's a movie I just found out existed and it shames me.
It's called ALWAYS. It came out in 1989, starring John Goodman, Holly Hunter, Richard Dreyfuss and Audrey Hepburn.
    Directed by Steven Spielberg.

This is officially the last released Spielberg film I needed to see to have seen them all and luckily it's on Netflix.

It is basically every mopey 80's feel-good Spielberg trope in one film. Which makes it oddly comforting and enjoyable. It's not great. It's probably barely good. But it's charming.

    Hunt for the Wilderpeople

Taika Waititi might now officially be on my "favorite directors" list.

PoC Dead Men Tell No Tales - It had some fun and some adventure, but it was missing something. It will never be like the first one, imo.

The LEGO Batman movie - This was hilarious. I had never seen it before.

The Glass Castle - I read the book a several years ago. It was a bit different than the book but still liked it.

Alien Covenant. Just horrible. What happened with Ridley Scott? Hard to belive that is the same director of Blade Runner and the first Alien.

The irony being, it was trying so hard to be the first one

watched Logan Lucky over the weekend.

i thoroughly enjoyed it. it's a little stuck half way between a comedy and a heist caper.. but.. yeah.. it was pretty alright actually.

our very own Adam Diver is superb.. could have done with a bit more of him than we got.

do i recommend it? yes :)

i was expecting it to be a little zanier.
Daniel Craig was great--he's a great actor though i don't really like him much for some reason.
+1 on wishing we'd had more Adam Driver in this too.

agreed.. they tried to make it an ikkle bit 'oceans 11' (no shock as its from the guy who made em) and maybe should have gone the "zanier" (nice word btw) route.

i'd happily watch it again in a couple of years.. which is my gauge for an ok flik.

Warning if you haven't seen Justice League yet, skip on by.

Justice League - Here is my honest opinion. The first 45 minutes is all over the place, a bit meaningless and some of it could've been cut. But when it gets to 45 minutes and beyond is where it gets better.

I've been wanting a movie since I was kid and although I'm not a huge Aquaman fan they made him cool in ways that I never thought they could. And to me he was a stand out.

The Flash is awkward and awesome at the same time.

I like Ben Affleck as Batman, but he just doesn't completely work for me in the movie. I feel he's lacking in ways, but honestly I think that was the point. He's deteriorating, and getting too old for this.

The villain I felt was lackluster. Steppenwolf. Cool name, not so cool villain. Just cookie cut.

But the chemistry and charisma is great in this movie. Some good funny lines. Alot by The Flash and some good one's by Aquaman. One my favorite scene is when Aquaman accidently sits on Wonderwoman's lasso and tells the truth about everyone in the room lol

My favorite scene was when Superman shows up.

Overall if it had been cut right, the cgi a bit better and a better villain it would've been great. It's not great, but it doesn't suck either.

Just watched Fury tonight.....great movie, lots of action, but the Shermans vs the Tiger scene really needed work. Shermans should have immediately split up and driven hard and wide....one of them would have gotten a flank shot. Also I thought Brad Pitt's character Don Collier was supposed to be really experienced - should have known the place to aim on a Tiger from the front is the lower glacis....

Well it's a David Ayers film so of course there were some awful mis-characterizations and things that made no sense!

    saw this over the weekend.

    Screen Shot 2017-11-26 at 1.20.55 PM.png

Armitage Hux, Kelly Bundy, and Lowell Mather do a lot of terrible stupid things to each other.
but it's a romantic comedy, so you know it all works out in the end.

also, we get plenty of Hux's coaster face, which isn't surprising given this wretched hair:

    Screen Shot 2017-11-26 at 8.02.55 AM.png

not a great film: predictable, but entertaining for 90 minutes.
and not nearly as crass i expected, for which i give it a +
