Bale, Studi, Pike and even Cochrane all could have been looked at for acting nods.
    Cooper should have for director.
Score, screenplay, costume design, Cinematography all worthy.

Such a misfire by the studio. Especially because the academy gets off to a good western.

I wanna watch that movie! Seriously I have decided to ignore the nominated movies and trust my feelings LOL. I recall I used to watch most of the nominated movies for trivia purposes but some of them were BOOOOOOOOOORIIIIIIING.

i do have to say they started off on the wrong foot with me for that camera "flash" at the beginning.
that's a rookie mistake in a period piece.
also, there was one costume at the end that i totally blanched at.
but these are really minor details, easily forgiven ~ hahahahaha

Watched "When We First Met" starring Adam Devine and Alex Daddario.

Pretty good twist on what is becoming a familiar formula. I've seen some stuff about how it's supportive of the cringey idea of the "friendzone", and I too had that concern going in to the movie, but without giving too much away I think that by the time the credits roll it's very clear that is simply not the case.

The Shape of Water. It's a good film, but I didn't like it. It didn't click with me.

Believe it or not, The Incredibles for the first time. I saw the trailer for the sequel, laughed a lot and checked the original. Good movie, slow to start, but great ending. Excellent voice work. I finally have a reference for all those Frozone gifs. :D

Patriot Games, starring Harrison Ford and also Sean Bean who
    dies
Great movie, full of early 90s flair. A man doing his duty, fighting villains, no modern-day issues thrown in your face, if you hate that kind of thing, like I do.

The Polish dub of this film is fantastic as well. Polish dubs of animated films, Disney/Pixar in particular, always stay on a high level, but they truly outdid themselves with The Incredibles.

We probably have one too, because kids' movies are the only dubbed movies in my country, but I always watch the original. I can't even imagine watching dubbed version. So it's either original or the subtitles for me (if it's non-English film).

There were plenty of modern day issues in that movie - of that time. ;)

I've got so used used to watching Disney and Pixar films with Polish dubs that I cannot really imagine watching them any other way. Other films - orginal language or bust.

Black Panther... good solid fun, looks great and well cast - but not quite the game changer that’s been reported so far.

    Subjective Lazarus Score: 8/10

Saw Black Panther. It's good. It's not the end all be all the hype is saying it is (so temper expectations) but the obvious social importance of this film will out weigh the flaws of it.
    (and it does have them)

Black Panther! I'm giving it a B. Somehow, I couldn't connect with this movie like how the critics reported it to be. Plus, the computer graphics was off at many places, which is sad as it could have helped a lot.

Nonetheless, it has great performances, but I truly believed they could have done better. Oh, also, Wakanda Forever! :)

Black Panther. Surprising, isn't it? :p A strong entry into the MCU. No more, no less.
