    Black Panther.

Entertaining and interesting world build of Wakanda with a solid cast and decent enough villian.

Not the best MCU movie ever as some may feel but not it's worst either.

    8/10

The Dark Tower, it was pretty bad. I'm a huge Stephen King fan but not huge into the Dark Tower books, I liked the way they began but didn't care for the last 3 books or the ending. So I really wasn't going in with high expectations or a love for the source material that might hinder my enjoyment of the movie. The movie itself hindered my enjoyment of the movie though, they just took a lazy/watered-down version of the Dark Tower mythology and used it to prop up a stereotypical YA movie.

    All the Presidents Men
-starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman

It's about 2 Washington Post reporters that dig up details about the break in @ the DNC headquarters - (Watergate)
Pretty good, I enjoyed it....and looking at a young Robert Redford wasn't so bad too :p

I love that movie. I don't know why because it's not my typical type of movie but I've always really enjoyed it. I have it as part of a Blu Ray "Double Feature" with 3 Days Of The Condor, also starring Redford.

Totally agree here. Healthy perspective and focus on the big picture. I will say that this wasn't just a Marvel movie for me. It struck many deep chords within me. It was quite an experience. I felt it was also quite an experience for the other people in the theater. Historical truth cannot be denied by anyone even moderately in touch with today's OCEAN of accessible information.

And I don't want to even pretend to understand the significance of this.
I can't. It's so intimate and significant for so many, I don't want to throw my hat in the ring as anything other than a kid who read some BP comics and really liked the movie.

ANNIHILATION from Alex Garland, director of EX-MACHINA.
This is a true hard sci-fi movie. This is not a horror film like the trailers were cut to play it as.
It's an intense, thought provoking, moving, disturbing, unnerving trek of a film.
If you can (US, Canada, China) see it in theaters. If not, watch it on Netflix in 17 days then write Paramount a big F-You letter for not giving this a fair wide release. Watch it on as big of a screen and as loud as you can. Immerse yourself in it.

Unsurprisingly, ample measures of Bombay Sapphire with a Fever Tree Sicilian Lemon tonic, a splash of Edinburgh Gin Co. Rhubarb and Ginger Liquer, sliced fresh ginger and lime takes the edge right of the suffering :D

Watch Trolls then watch Annihilation. Your brain might melt from the extreme hard shift in tone and seriousness

For a kids flick it aint bad. The gags remind me of an old school three stooges bit, very slapschticky but the jokes all have pay offs that rely on things other than your typical loud noises or goofy faces. Its very subtle in its humor in a way where adults can appreciate it, while still having the cartoon fun that kids know and love.

Lady Bird. A charming tale of of a teenager growing up with a great cast and some nice laughs. Side effect - it will immediately make you think about your parents.

    A nice WWII double bill
First up was The Bridge at Remagen
& now watching A Bridge to Far. Whose cast list is absolutely nuts.

    Peter Rabbit

surprisingly less crass and mean-spirited than the trailers suggest.
animation is excellent and for the kiddies there's great moral lessons about empathy, jealousy, anger management, and taking personal responsibility.

all that said, it is a ridiculous film, but i laughed out loud at least a handful of times in spite of myself.
and yes, Gleeson basically plays Hux as Thomas McGregor: an awkward aspiring toy shop owner with serious control issues.
but if you're not rooting for him to be vindicated from the abuse these rabbits heap on him, there might actually be something wrong with you.

fortunately, this doesn't take itself too seriously and has the most over-the-top happily-ever-after finale you could hope for in a fantasy tale (which it even admits, so big points for that).

bonus: Daisy Ridley plays the youngest bunny sister who is kind of a little hellion ~ hahahahaha

    Screen Shot 2018-02-26 at 4.54.43 AM.png

p.s. the critics lambasting this film for "betraying" the spirit of Beatrix Potter's original works are completely absurd.
