It definitely is. Brosnan started with such a great movie and then he had to work with bad scripts... That's so sad.

Whenever I think of a Bond girl, I see Claudine Auger, Dangerous Domino. Simply the best of the bond women. Famke Janssen as Xenia Onatopp is also one of my favorites. Janssen was great in Goldeneye but she really didn't do it for me as Jean Grey. She looked really different in the X-men films.

Liam Neeson on a train (2018). An ok, average, by the book action thriller.

P.S. Liam Neeson making lots of these action movies kinda reminds me of good old days with Schwarzenneger, Stallone, Van Damme etc.

Saw two films: Tokyo Story and The Book of Henry. Tokyo Story is a timeless tale of a Japanese family whose kids move out from their hometown into Tokyo and their parents give them a visit and become disappointed with their children. The Book of Henry, on the other hand, ... yikes. It's bad. Its protagonist is so deeply unlikeable, the plot is just bizarre and full of leaps in logic that are so glarringly obvious and the handling of topic of domestic abuse in it is so bad just thinking about it makes me angry. We've truly dogded a bullet with Colin Trevorrow.

Deadpool 2. Meh... I don't know. I thought the first one wasn't bad, but quite overrated IMO. They absolutely nailed the character, Deadpool himself was perfect, but unfortunately humour didn't land for me way too often for this kind of film - which is weird, because it's definitely not a case of it being not my type of humour. It just wasn't seamless, I was constantly seeing that they were trying. Combined with weak story, there wasn't really much for me to enjoy. My feelings towards the sequel are pretty much the same, but the story was a bit more interesting and the addition of Cable and Domino was a big plus.

Weirdly, the two jokes (across both movies) that made me burst out laughing the most are arguably minor :p
In the first one: "Captain Deadpool"
In the second one: "I'm Batman." Lol, hard to blame Deadpool for not resisting the urge to say it. We all wish we had a perfect opportunity to do that, right? :D

    cinematic bliss! : D

i honestly thought people might be judging Book of Henry hard so i watched it and yeah, in terms of the writing it really is an atrocity on so many levels.
it ended well enough, but the mother is so stupid and the circumstances so illogical it makes the whole thing unwatchable. : o p

Predestination (2014) - a smart and interesting time travel paradox movie with great performances. If you like mind-bending movies like Donnie Darko, Looper, Butterfly Effect or Time Lapse, you'll love this one. But I must warn you - the less you know about the plot, the better, so do not (and I mean not) spoil anything.

    Incredibles 2 & Tag.

Incredibles 2 was alright.. funny throughout. wasn’t really on my radar, but it was the only thing on at 10:30am yesterday.
(real reason I walked in there at 10:15...)

Tag - loved it. Knew it was my level when I saw the trailer, and I wasn’t disappointed.
Many here still play games that we started playing when we were kids.. and should relate to this movie.

It's a violent little gem of a flick that will blow another big studio movie with a very similar (tho different) premise away, me thinks

Together with @RockyRoadHux, I've watched "MI: Fallout" today. It was a solid made and entertaining movie. It was quite nicely shot and edited. It was too long though, furthermore it was way too predictable.

The highlight of this movie: Tom Cruise. This man is a legend. 56 years old and still rocking all the stunts by himself. People should really honor him for that.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was my most recent.
Solid 9/10, would get 8 but Chris Pratt makes anything he's in better.
As always, the over-glorification of the T-rex, ignoring science in favor of recognizability with the dino names (Blue is a Deinonychus, not a Velociraptor, and the "Trike" was clearly a Chasmosaurus) along with anatomical incorrectness and the sad lack of feathers on all the 'saurs took some of the thrill away.
but they certainly did a good job on the Indoraptor's design, making it look almost mechanical - perfectly capturing what it's supposed to be.

I thought the twist was a little forced (what did it really add to the story?), but I was really sad - and angry - when the old guy got killed.
