    @RockyRoadHux and I watched "BlacKkKlansman". It was an interesting and kinda very stylish movie, but it was also dragging and almost boring. The acting was good though, especially Adam Driver.

    Ready Player One - cool movie, awesome visuals and decent storyline. Overall it takes you back to your childhood in a way and has several horror and game references. Started a bit slow, but picked up. If I had a gripe, maybe a bit on the serious side. Could've had a little more humor, but no big deal.

    This will sound crazy but it made me think of Willy Wonka in ways. Just go with it if you see it and you'll understand what I mean.

    I know the film was based on a true story, anyways to my mind the last third of the movie could have been a bit more suspense packed for my taste. The casting was great though! - if you take a look at following link, a comparison of the cast and the real BlackkKlansman people the movie was based on- the casting is spot on!

    Saw another film from this year's Cannes' line-up - a Russian romantic semi-biographical musical drama called Leto. A positive surprise, I must say. Its main characters are members of a rock club from Saint Petersburg in early 1980's, so there's a lot of good music, both on- and off-stage with some really surprising arrangements that I won't spoil. I liked it.

    Ant Man & The Wasp.
    Not bad at all. A rather enjoyable film & I feel is at least as good as the first on I quite liked the smaller scale to this one as a nice antidote to the resent end of the world scale of some of the recent Marvel films.

    nothing about this movie really worked for me.
    it's a dull script with a lame "twist" (the story is practically non-existent), badly edited.
    and you have all these great actors sitting around smoking cigarettes being dull and British.
    i honestly didn't expect more from Sarah Waters, but was hoping Abrahamson and the actors could elevate this. : o p

    Confidential Assignment (2017) - S.Korean action buddy-cop movie about a North and a South policemen joining forces to catch a powerful criminal (basically, a Korean Red Heat). A good, competently made action flick. Reminds of the good old days.

    P.S. S.Korean propaganda has a lot to say about the Northern regime, but I've never seen it go against the people. In every movie I've seen so far the regular people, policemen, soldiers etc. were portrayed sympathetically. It is very importantant to distinguish between the government and the people, because when propaganda starts attacking the people, it becomes... very very ugly.

    Zama. An Argentinian drama about a man working as a local judge in a Spanish colony in the middle of nowhere trying to get moved to a bigger city. A pretty effective anti-corporation drama with a good lead performance.

    My parents have and they didn't like it. At all.

    Fun fact - the actor who plays one of the main roles in this film (more specifically this one)


    is the voice of Kylo Ren in the Polish dub of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. He's also from the same town as I am (I don't know where he lives, though.) His name is Marcin Dorociński. :)
