SW Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

    My favorite Prequel.

I watched the Between Two Ferns movie on Netflix. The interview segments were funny but I didn't think it worked too well as a movie and it felt really forced.

It was dark and wet in my neighbourhood last night so, given the timing, the only sensible thing to watch was Blade Runner... again.

SLS - 9.8/10, sure some of the effects are a little dated and obviously the timeframe is now implausible, but for me it remains one of the most absorbing, layered and fully realised visions of the future ever committed to film.

I went to see The Aeronauts. I loved it.

There was actually a funny little Star Wars reference early on in the film, which I really hope was intentional, but still worked whether it was or not... I’ll spoiler-tag what I’m talking about if anyone wants to listen for it, not that it’s a huge spoiler or anything...

Felicity Jones says something like: “Maybe we’ll reach the moon and bring back stardust!” (death star):D

My favorite of the LW films. The jokes make you bust a gut:

“I am going to will it not go happen!” (Anoit hrowing to old for this S**t)

    “You’re baby Woah baby!”

“His name is a food, burgers, no biscuits.” “I am detective Butters.”

“They F you with the cellphones!”

    “It’s fried rice you Pr**k!”

The action is over the top but really entertaining, and the story is hearfelt: “are you friends?” “No! We are family!”

P.S. Jet Li also stars in the film, and does some major Martial Arts.

    1. Terminator: Dark FATE
I thought killing our beloved John Connor in the opening segments was a unique twist, but replacing him with a female heroine was a dreadful mistake. The Terminator franchise has a special place in my heart, I wanted director Tim Miller to succeed after being booted off Deadpool 2, but alas I hope his directing career doesn't plummet like Zack Snider's did. I HOPE HE CAN BOUNCE BACK FROM THIS. The only reason I want Avatar to bomb is so Cameron could step into the director's chair and give Terminator fans a good film... hopefully FUTURE WAR!!!

    2. Terminator Salvation:
I really don't understand why the general audience and some super fans hate this installment so much. It reminds me of the hate that some fans have for AOTC and TLJ. Is it simply because Arnold is not in the film? Whatever the reason maybe this is an example of why films are subjective.

Marcus an infiltrator unit decides that although he was never a good guy he decides to do good. The very resistance he wants to join, to do good wants him dead. He convinced the leader of the resistance that he will save his father.

With doubt the resistance leader gives him a second chance and lets him go to prove his innocents. The mission is a success, Marcus saves Kyle, John Connor's father. However John is on his death bed injured severely with a weak heart. Marcus offers his own heart to save John because everyone deserves a second chance.

Salvation remains one of my favorites of the franchise, and yes, I'm one of those guys that enjoyed AOTC and TLJ...

    @Rogues1138

I was really disappointed they killed John Conner off. He is the savior of humanity. Killing him off makes T1 to Salvation irrelevant. Its only less horrible than making John the terminator in Genysis

Terminator Salvation is one of my favorites despite some wooden acting by Dallas Bryce Howard, and some bad editing (the scene were Catherine is pregnant should have been left in the film). There is a Director’s Cut with 9mins+ added back in that I need to see. It might fix some editing issues and reintergate some of lost scenes like Catherine Conner’s pregnancy.

I love we finally got to the future war and I never doubted Christian Bale as a good John Conner after his brillant post-apocalyptic role as Quinn in “Reign of Fire.”

I watched the director's cut of both T2: Judgement Day and T4: Salvation . I always love to watch director's cuts and extended versions of the movies I love in peace at home.

    Was Salvation’s Extended Cut good?

I love the Extended Cut of “A Knight’s Tale”:

    4BC115B7-8B0F-41C1-B2CE-91EC52DBCA5C.jpeg

It has the ending in the theaters that was missing in regular edition where William (Ledger) with company tells the villian, “you have been weighted, you have been measured, and found wanting.” It also helps paint Joscelyn’s test of Wilkiam’s love look less like wanton woman’s fancy, and more like she wants to know if William can love someone other than himself (self love).

I was stuck on a plane the other day and so watched "The Man Who Killed Hitler, and Then Bigfoot"

I probably wouldn't have watched it in any other setting but stuck in a middle seat with a couple of hours to kill, I thought "Why Not?" I was pleasantly surprised. It's almost hard to wrap your head around, and I might actually watch it a second time to try and get some more perspective on it. At the very least, Sam Elliot nails the performance.

Salvations extended cut is good; unfortunately, I only saw it once in the theater so many years ago when it was first released, I can't breakdown what was missing from the theatrical version.

Ford vs Ferrari (Le Mans '66) - just got back from the premiere at the cinema. Not as epic as I expected it to be, but still a good movie. Probably felt a bit underwhelming to me as being familiar with the story of the rivalry as well as of Ken Miles and also having seen the actual race, I always knew what was going to happen. A must watch for a racing fan but it keeps it balanced so even those who have little interest in cars should enjoy it; very entertaining. The cars are real eye candy and the sound work is amazing; that Ford GT40 roaring sounds are the real deal and the race shots are beautiful. It's a blast from the past of how proper racing used to be.

Still; it's not even close to the brilliance of Le Mans (1971) with Steve McQueen though.

    7.5/10

Le Mans 66 or Ford Vs Ferrari depending where you see it.
A fantastic film especially in IMAX 2D with all those Sports Car Engines going at full volume
& the cast wasn’t half bad either.
This may have just beaten RUSH as my favourite Sports Car Film
