We're all fans here, and one could assume we all have a bit of Star Wars collection going on. Chances are, unless you hide your Star Wars love out of some odd shame, part of your collection has been built up by gifts given to you by friends and family.

Now, we all have our eyes on certain things, but I've really found it's the gifts others get you that really enhance your collection. They tend to find the things you'd never consider for yourself, or even look for for that matter... and still they can become integral parts of your collection. They may sometimes be atrocious, but can become your faves nonetheless.

So... what was the last Star Wars-related gift someone else gave to you? For any occasion, or simply no occasion at all.

For me, it was a pair of fleece sleep pants emblazoned with the likenesses of Boba Fett, Darth Vader, and a stormtrooper all over them - a gift from my mom on my birthday a few weeks back. And you can bet the Millennium Falcon that 30-year-old me wore them like a little kid on Christmas morning. Ugly as anything, and super comfortable. These bad boys here actually:

The Secret History of Star Wars
    by Michael Kaminski

Star Wars is one of the most important cultural phenomena of the Western world. The tale of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and the fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker has become modern myth, an epic tragedy of the corruption of a young man in love into darkness, the rise of evil, and the power of good triumphing in the end. But it didn’t start out that way. In this thorough account of one of cinema’s most lasting works, Michael Kaminski presents the true history of how Star Wars was written, from its beginnings as a science fiction fairy tale to its development over three decades into the epic we now know, chronicling the methods, techniques, thought processes, and struggles of its creator. For this unauthorized account, he has pored through over four hundred sources, from interviews to original scripts, to track how the most powerful modern epic in the world was created, expanded, and finalized into the tale an entire generation has grown up with.

Well ... I'll post my last two. I'm an American, but I live in Russia. They have a holiday here called "man's day". So my fiancee, who took a lot of convincing/begging to watch the films finally, (now LOVES them) got me a SW-related tattoo.

Very nice! And "man's day" eh? Makes me think of when my wife just felt she had to remind me that it was "international women's day" a few weeks back, and I asked her when the day for men is, and she of course had no clue... :p

Very nice, it's been a while since I got an actual figure. Most of the figures I have are from the 90s actually.
